That looks really nice - Lord John Press has PC copies for $250 - is that too much? Wonder how many PC copies they made ...

I paid $175 for mine (unframed).

The framing job cost me $337 (and that was with a 55% sale price).

I had it framed at Michael's (it is a craft store chain).

It seems crazy to pay more for the frame than the item being framed. But I've done it several times. Congratulations. It looks very nice.

I have a presentation copy listed right now:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=140469384137&ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT

I really liked the frame and matte job...it's not heavy-duty wood or the quality of Tippy's, but it looks nice on the wall...I'm not aggressivly trying to sell, but anyone interested can make an offer.

These show up now and again, but that is the hassle of buying an unframed edition...you really can't do much with it until it's framed.

Yeah...same problem with the Insomnia Portfolio....really not much you can do with that.

I guess I could have the one signed print framed...but then what do I do with the unsigned prints and holder?

We also got a Tempurpedic mattress this summer that is out of this world comfortable. You can look up a pic on thier website if you like, not gonna strip the bed to take a pic for you guys. :nope:

And the one that makes me think of the 10-12 SL's I could have bought this year with the money we spent on it: 2011 Victory Crossroads. Ofcourse, my husband is right when he says it would have been difficult to ride those books to work everyday.:beat:

Here is a picture of both the US and UK DIFFERENT SEASONS proofs. This isn't the signed one but, obviously, it looks just like this one on the outside. It looks very similar to the US edition except at the bottom of the front cover it says Macdonald instead of Viking.

I decided to finally buy an unsigned collector's editon of UTD today. This one never really interested me too much since it was unsigned, and was not that different than the signed version.

The $75 price tag plus the fact that I have a US S/L. a UK S/L, a signed US trade, and an unsigned US trade on my shelves already kept me from buying one.

But, siince this one was pretty cheap, I bit the bullet and placed a bid.

Unsigned UTD Collecto's Edition for $43 (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rt=nc&nma=true&item=190463009838&si=XqLZp8RgVscm5QRd7BMDh6L0nvk%253D&viewitem=&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWNX%3AIT)

Most "gift editions" don't seem to hold their value. The exceptions seem to be The Talisman and FAB8.

This book and the jacket are in fantastic conditon. There is little or no separation of the text block from the spine as is the way with those heavy Doubleday books and it really is square and tight all round. The jacket is as you see it in the pictures (not covered with any protective sleeve) and is virtually flawless. The only problem with the book is the foxing you can see in the pictures, but to be honest, that doesn't bother me at all. I've waited a long time to get a signed Stand anywhere near this condition and this one was most certainly worth the wait. It sits well in the case produced by The Collector and sold to me courtesy of Jerome - thanks my friend. Sorry for posting so many photographs but I did think that this one deserved it.

Obviously the case made the trip safely (I wrapped it carefully in a box, then put the box in a well padded larger box). Not cheap to send despite the less than 4lb. weight. That case was still in the original black paper wrap with the sticker from The Collector.:excited:

Good stuff, Brice! I hope you'll get something else in the mail very soon, too ;)

Actually I got another book (non-king, but really good.) along with that one and when I got home from posting yesterday I found out I have a huge box of books waiting at the post office from Canada. Yours hasn't arrived yet, but I'm sure it won't be long. You sent it early enough to beat the christmastime slow mail.

You'll have another big box coming from Canada soon!

Hey, guys! Been awhile but I'm back!

I love the new site!

I just picked up two very nice books.

This one is the signed slip-cased edition of "Horns" by, Joe Hill. I love it!

When I have the cash, I intend on picking up the tray-cased edition as well.

And here is the second book I picked up by the one, the only, Rio Youers. This is the signed, numbered, tray-cased edition of "End Times" and as usual, PS Publishing did a fantastic job.

Rio is quickly becoming a MASSIVE force to be reckoned with. I highly recommend his work.

Not New, but its of cause a pride and joy. It´s one of the most important cornerstones of my Stephen King Collection. I have this book for more than 15 years, and until now i always forget to post a pic.
Nebel Stephen King Edition Phantasia. Limited to 500 but after some licence problems only 50+ still exists. My book is, what i know the ONLY one in the World, that is still wrapped.

Absolutely! :D I believe the exact count is 2 more french books and 36 books from the Netherlands...all shipped from the Netherlands...bringing my King collection to roughly between 250-300 or so books including paperbacks and then the there's the promo and miscellaneous items.

The slipcase holds both CD versions. I don't know about the Scribner version as I don't have one. CD is sold out on the slipcases-although I do have an extra. :P

I got a great deal (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rt=nc&nma=true&item=220700172745&si=J1IFYXWQAhd%252FuUXWAkEhsuU7bo8%253D&viewitem=&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWNX%3AIT) on the Grant Talisman gift edition. I've been meaning to add this book to my collection for years. Just came in the mail today and I couldn't be happier.

Talisman Gift Edition (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rt=nc&nma=true&item=220700172745)

Yep, you got a good price there.

Normally, I dislike two-volume limited editions (DT4, DT5, DT7). Also, I dislike limited editions that come without dust jackets (Desperation and Black House). I don't mean to sound like I am picking on DMG Books, but I prefer single-volumes and dust jackets.

That being said, I really like the Gift Edition of The Talisman. I like the square spines, the way the books match the slipcase, and I like the artwork.

I was looking over some completed auctions for this book, and came across this one:

Talisman Gift Edition for $30 (http://cgi.ebay.com/Talisman-2-Volume-Set-Stephen-King-/160511577247)

Sure, there is a little water damage, but for $30 I would have bought this.

Those of you who have read Robert McCammon's Blue World are sure to remember "Pin," one of the most disturbing stories I've ever read. Film student Chris Frahme has created a film version of "Pin" that is most excellent. You can find links to the trailer and film on the McCammon site (http://www.robertmccammon.com/), as well as below.

"Le rire du cyclope" (the laughter of the cyclop), is a thriller related to the origin of laughter
"Le miroir de Cassandre" (the mirror of Cassandre), is related to the myth of Cassandre... that was seeing the future but nobody was believing what she was saying. It's a modern version of it.

Both proofs are quickly covered with french flaps cover... Easy to cover!

Thanks guys.

It had been sitting out there for a while, so I contacted the seller and offered him $250. He countered with $260 plus $20 shipping (from Canada), and I agreed.

This was one of the few reasonably priced items left on my S/L wish list. It was at the bottom of that list because you really can't display it, and I thought it odd that it was signed by King when it was just based on his work (like the insomnia Portfolio).

When I got it, I discovered there actually is a short essay by King in the portfolio. Had I known that, it might not have been at the bottom of my list.

First Class Mail is limited to 13 ounces or less.

Both First Class and Priority deliver in 2-3 days.
