"A real limited edition, far from being an expensive autograph stapled to a novel, is a treasure. And like all treasures do, it transforms the responsible owner into a caretaker, and being a caretaker of something as fragile and easily destroyed as ideas and images is not a bad thing but a good one...and so is the re-evaluation of what books are and what they do that necessarily follows." - Stephen King
Lesser signed (still with King's sig). $169-not a bad price:
1990 Dark Dreame Signed Slipcased Hardcover Ltf Ed Book-Stephen King (B2607-FD)
Need another opinion or two on sig, but if legit, $150 is a good price.
Stephen King -- Cell -- Signed First Edition First printing
I agree...legit sig and a fantastic opening price!
Dragline : Nothin'. A handful of nothin'. You stupid mullet head. He beat you with nothin'. Just like today when he kept comin' back at me - with nothin'.
Luke : Yeah, well, sometimes nothin' can be a real cool hand.
Probably the best idea. You'll never be happy knowing that is in your collection.

Then you probably missed this part:
"This collection of Stephen King materials is very probably unique. My discussions with several smaller but reputable dealers specializing in "horror fiction" indicate there has been nothing like this on the market for 12-13 yrs.- and because Stephen's staff cut off any further autographs for reader copies back in the Fall of 1993 (10+ yrs. ago) I can't imagine other King collections with this depth or value appearing again anytime soon....or more probably, ever!"
Really?
And even if that were the case, a full set of signed/personalized 1st editions is certainly impressive but doesn't come close (IMO) to the collections that members here have. And the Chris Cavalier collection that was sold through Betts a couple of years ago certainly trumps these, what is it, six personalized books... (I still have the spreadsheet somewhere and I think if you added it all up it was something like $250,000 - actual market value)
