I really enjoyed reading Amanda Palmer's perspective on OCEAN.

Just finished Death: The Time Of Your Life and Death: The High Cost Of Living. Now I'm starting The Sandman: Endless Nights. I have The Dreaming: Beyond The Shores Of Night and The Dreaming: Through The Gates Of Horn And Ivory on the way to me now. I love these characters, I don't ever want these stories to end!

If anyone missed out on the Goldsboro Books edition of The Ocean at the End of the Lane, The Poisoned Pen has copies for $66. http://poisonedpen.com/?STG=19598866...x=-1036&y=-168

Seeing how the issue price was roughly $50 plus shipping from the UK, it is a really good value. The listing doesn't show a picture, but their email newsletter clearly states that this is the edition from Goldsboro:

"Gaiman, Neil. The Ocean at the End of the Lane (Special UK Signed Numbered Edition with slipcase, $66.00). Thanks to our friends at Goldsboro Books in London for producing this great edition."

That's strange as mine did have a picture and it was the Goldsboro s/l.

Weird....when I bring up the webpage, it has the placeholder with "No Cover Available." Oh well, no big deal really, as long as everyone knows it is the Goldsboro edition if they need it.

OK, so now the collectibles are starting to get obscure....here is Horror: 100 Best Books from 1988. I love the old limited editions that had no signature pages. Everyone signed it like it was a high school yearbook. You can see Neil's signature right in the center above Lisa Tuttle:

It was only $60 - I cannot believe that Kim marked that one up so much - I can only guess since that's the only place the gaiman story is in print right now.

Neil has an event on 15 oct at Westminster in London - it was announced on 17 August and is already sold out. They're looking at adding seats - so if you are in London check it out

    http://www.timeout.com/london/things...ately-the-milk

It's a full reading of fortunately the milk - with a special edition of the book just for the event, Chris Riddell will be drawing during the event, there's music too and guests. It's not a signing - but Neil mentions that there will be signed copies of the book already signed for purchase. Check out full details here:

    http://journal.neilgaiman.com/

Wish I could goto this one. Imagine some of these books might turn up on eBay shortly after the 15th. If any of our UK friends are able to go - I'd love to get one of them

I never looked at them, although I do have a couple of books about the sandman - that make a good companion to the stories and would be a lot cheaper than getting the whole annotated series. Your money would be better spent upgrading to the absolutes - you can sell off the set I traded you - and pick up one of the other sandman companion books.

I have a few Sandman reference books, but as a collector, I was wondering if anyone had them and what their opinions on them were. They look pretty big:

I will have one of these left - there are 7 copies and 6 are spoken for. If you would like one - the total cost is $30 - includes shipping & tracking in U.S. - no international - unless you want to pay the full shipping - it would be easier for you to contact Torben (lauterer) and let him help you get a copy.

Sadly I don't have an English language hard copy of the book. That's one of the few I borrowed on my Kindle.
