Love the joyland case - have to order one from dick. Nice to see how it looks with the limitation number as well - I like that.

I just received my copy from same seller with damaged corner. His idea of "good packaging to keep it from getting damaged" is a half sheet of bubble wrap thrown around the book. The box doesn't shows any signs of rough handling by USPS.
I've contacted seller but no response back. Hopefully the seller will contact me tomorrow (Monday).

Excellent, Excellent book Jimimck!!
Maybe the stamps were the reason behind the delay? A Post Office worker debating on whether to take the stamps off for his own collection or not?

OK, I bought something on eBay a couple weeks ago that I think will qualify nicely as a Pride and Joy and Birthday Gift for myself...pics to follow with SMALL story
Dragline : Nothin'. A handful of nothin'. You stupid mullet head. He beat you with nothin'. Just like today when he kept comin' back at me - with nothin'.
Luke : Yeah, well, sometimes nothin' can be a real cool hand.
Congratulations, Jimimck!
Bill, be aware that your pics are not showing.

Short story:
Growing up, I liked quite a variety of music and one of the bands I liked quite a bit was The Ramones. When Pet Sematary was published in 1983 and King used a few references to the band in his book....Hey! Ho! Let's Go!....I was thrilled.
About a month ago I'd guess, I'm cruising the eBay auctions and see a beat-to-hell signed copy of The Plant (part I) inscribed to Marky Ramone and knew I had to own this volume...In fact, I rather liked the fact that it was beat to hell and back...punk rock, The Ramones, I can only guess what Marky did to this thing...probably somebody fished it out of the trash or something.
But I've wondered now....did King send all 3 Plant versions to Marky...if so, who has the other two...BUT MORE IMPORTANT....if King sent The Plant to Marky, I would be 100% sure he inscribed a copy to front man Joey Ramone (may he and all his bandmates--except for Marky--RIP!) That would be the COOLEST ever (if it even exists) to own a complete set of The Plant inscribed to Joey Ramone! It is possible though that he only sent copies in the 1983 year, so Plant I only....does anybody know? anyone ever compile a list of who he sent Plant copies to? And I know a couple of you lucky dogs own LETTERED sets of the Plant...pray tell who are the people those were sent to????

Pretty interesting inscription and story!
That's a great story! Congratulations on a REAL pride and joy!

James! Congratulations my friend. I'm happy the book is finally in your hands.
Bill, great gifts. Lovely!
David - I totally understand why you love that copy of The Plant (I always liked The Ramones and saw them play live during their farewell tour over a decade ago).
Way cool back story to The Plant acquisition David - awesome (and congratulations, of course)
We all float down here!
Cool story and adquisition!
You know...I knew somebody who was one of the assistants to Marky Ramone's band. It's a very longshot, but I'll ask.
I was a huge fan of The Ramones as well. Saw them live in 1996 during the last concert they give in Argentina (by the way, Dee Dee Ramone lived only two blocks away from my place after he left the band. And his wife's sister is a student of my girlfriend. ). I still can't believe most of the members are dead.

Two Mark Stutzman remarques were at my door today. They look fantastic!! He's mainly done black and whites, but I asked him specifically to add a little splash of color.
