That went quick!
We'll be sending out a DARK TOWER themed email for MichaelWhelan.com later this week. We'll be offering a new print tentatively titled GATES OF ELURIA (the original sold last weekend at the World Fantasy Convention). We'll also have 6 new pieces of original art from THE DARK TOWER and LITTLE SISTERS OF ELURIA. There's a preview of the art posted to our official Tumblr:

Just went up and has a $2K bid? Wow...maybe.
"'Salem's Lot" Signed Stephen King / Autographed Limited Edition Centipede Press
I'm certainly interested to see what that goes for, since I have one to sell as well.
Interesting. I'd say too expensive, but the seller sold a rebound 'Salem's Lot for quite a bit.
The Shining by Stephen King. 1977. Very Rare marbled binding. R49 code. 1st ed.
I have often thought it would be an interesting project to take beat up, jacketless copies of the five early Doubleday books and have them rebound. Maybe even ex-library copies would work if the interior text blocks were free of library stamping. I would find a high end custom binder to create designs or motifs on the boards that somehow were meaningful to the book itself. Just let an artist have free rein to create something unique and very special. I would have full leather bindings (the good kind that smell like actual leather, not that bonded leather crap) and probably gold gilt page edges. For what I am thinking it might cost upwards of $800 to $1000 for each book but they could be real show pieces. I never got around to it though. Maybe someday.
I agree. I remember seeing your original post about this when I was wading through all the old threads and I had bookmarked it at the time meaning to ask you about it, and whether you ever got it off the ground... I think it's a great idea...
Congratulations!
John
"A real limited edition, far from being an expensive autograph stapled to a novel, is a treasure. And like all treasures do, it transforms the responsible owner into a caretaker, and being a caretaker of something as fragile and easily destroyed as ideas and images is not a bad thing but a good one...and so is the re-evaluation of what books are and what they do that necessarily follows." - Stephen King
The Long Walk Bachman $100 no bids
Watch out for this as although it has the full number line, it is the Canadian 1st edition. The price is $2.25 rather than $1.95
