Intriguing Stephen King/King Related/Dark Tower Auctions-Sales

Low end or high end collector - it really doesn't matter. If you're willing to pay for it, then it has that value to you. I'd never pay the market price for a 1st state Salem's Lot or Lettered anything because they don't hold that type of value to me (although a lettered Gunslinger is tempting).

But I'd drop $KK's on a S/L Dark Tower set (which most people would think is crazy for a bunch of books) because I value them. The same can be said for books currently in my collection that I would not consider selling at all or only at well above market value. For example - you're not going to see the book in the pic for sale again (after it changed hands between a couple members) because I like it just fine where it is on my shelf.

BTW... nothing wrong with lower end collectors (or middle of the road)- some people would consider me a lower end collector (see Hutch, David, Bob...etc) I can't / never could afford the stuff they have... (a first state salem's lot jacket for instance... or the rare long proofs of King's early titles)

Wow! Over $1000 for a book that cost what $350 originally and then had the remarques added in? Not bad at all. I guess the extra rats counted - LOL!

I had an extra one of FDNS I sold a while back that had a couple small remarques by Bauman and Alan Clark and it went for $170.00 (of course it wasn't signed by King and didn't have such a detailed two-page piece of art like that from Chadbourne). Still, I was fine with getting what I did for a book that originally sold for $75 and then had a couple sigs and sketches done in it.

Horses for courses mate - Remarques appeal to me personally, and if there's one I like (irrespective of where it may sit on the Rat Richter Scale ) I'll acquire it if I'm financially comfortable in doing so ... Believe me James, there's craploads of remarques that I actually don't buy, irrespective of price

Yes, this is the ´Dear constant Reader´ small size card with real signatur.
There is also an other ´Dear constant Reader´ card,
postcard size with real signatur, with the pic from the DT Books on the backside.
Both cards come together with the letter with the photocopy signature, and when you lucky
with the Black House HC book.

I checked with both Michael Alpert and Jim Bishop and neither did this poem nor do they know who did.
IMHO I think it lowers the value, unless it can be proven the author is one of the contributors. What do you guys think?

It's scrawling and (they didn't know it at the time-if it was done contemporaneously) isn't King's writing. I say it lowers the value; but I am not selling the item.
