Absolutely no point in posting in the P & J thread right now as everything pales into insignificance against Jerome and Rachel's new acquisitions, so I'll just post here....
I recently won an eBay item that turned out to be sold by UK member JonP. Jon included the WTTKH sampler in the sale but also graciously included the 11/22/63 one as well. Thanks Jon!

I also managed to pick up 1st editions of the 2nd and 3rd UK Dark Tower books (I picked up a Gunslinger a few weeks ago). These were only ever published in paperbacks and its difficult to find true 1st editions as most eBay sellers don't provide the necessary information to be sure. I have also included a photo of the complete UK DT 1st Edition Set.

Those DT 1sts certainly look good. You are right about finding decent copies of the first three. I've just about given up on those, almost impossible to find in collectible condition. I've got a half decent DT2. A whole stack of the others that I've received and say 'no, don't like that one'. Your Gunslinger looks in excellent condition.
How come your signature says 'Nothing I can afford right now' but you keep on adding so many amazing books i.e The Shining, Carrie etc? I know why, I've got that affliction as well.

I also missed out today on a UK Rage. In the 2 min it took for the seller to receive my email to buy and him trying to remove it from eBay, someone bought it

new shipment arrived from the US today. Most of these were obtained about a month ago...
1st up is a replacement Firestarter. I have finally got a copy with a decent cover that I am happy with. This baby suffers from serious fading on the spine and it is SO hard to determine from ebay sellers how badly affected their copy is.
to give you a comparison, here is the spine compared to my previous copy:

I finally completed my 'Art covers' with the missing Shining. This one came from David @ Betts and its in beautiful condition. These don't fit with my 1st/1sts but I already had 2 of them and it just felt right to have them all. I may get a case made to hold them or I may end up eventually just selling as a set.
