Parzival
Wolfram von Eschenbach´s Heldengedicht
Leipzig / Verlag Edwin Schloemp 1883
The bookcover is in not so good condition,
but... it´s 130 years old and a book in nice condition is EXPENSIVE.
The colored illustrations from F.B. Heine are STILL amazing.

This is a GREAT thread! Thanks for sharing, everyone. I enjoy looking at your Longfellows, Dickens, and Puzos.

That Longfellow letter is fucking great! What a collectible!
I never noticed this thread before!
All the books here are simply amazing. I don't have any really old books, darn it. These (the same book) are the oldest books I own, THE OPENER OF THE WAY by Robert Bloch, Arkham House, 1945:
I'm sure if there is intelligent life somewhere out there in the universe, they are wise enough to stay away from us.
And the people bowed and prayed, to the cell phone god they made...
Very cool!!!

Any Masons out there? My Dad had a box full of old Masonic books - this one is pretty old and published just across the Causeway.
I am. I hail from Grand Lodge of New York.

I don't think there is anything from New York - but if I run across I'll let you know.
