One of Russian TV correspondents was beaten the other day, and his equipment broken - although from what I've heard, in the beginning Caucasian-looking people have not been targeted. (And I was wondering why he disappeared.) It is also claimed that some Czech tourists were attacked but escaped in a hotel. Museums in Egypt have been vandalized and looted - I can't find any specifics, but if true, it's a shame.

Yesterday's free election amends Egypt's constitution to provide more civil rights once power is transferred to a civilian government. Also sets up voting for new president and parliament very soon. But some are worried, in that the basic structure is questionable, and the former ruling party remains the best organized.
