I grabbed this one the other day and it arrived today. The seller had it priced the same as his other unsigned books so I jumped on the "Buy It Now." The publication date was 4/20/81 and this signature is earlier than any of the other signed copies of this book in my collection. I feel really lucky to have been online when it was listed.

Nice catch, Bob! I noticed that the seller was listing a number of books but the DANSE MACABRE was not there yet when I was online. Otherwise I would have jumped at it - I'm still looking for a replacement copy for my atrocious copy of this book and I would have gladly substituted it with a signed copy for this price. Awesome!

Likely it was already gone. I think I bought it about three minutes after it was listed. Like I said, I was lucky to be in the right place and the right time.

My wife got me the Talisman/Black House gift set for my birthday. I won't bother with pictures, but the coolest thing about it is that The Talisman is #1122, which I think is really cool given the twinners/alternate universe theme of the book.

I've been waiting for just the right copy of a 1/1 The Stand. Something in my price range that didn't look horrible. I finally found one. The book looks amazing and the jacket is a solid 7 out of 10. Now if I only had one of those spiffy traycases to put it in...

That's awesome! Great catch! I have the Easton Press edition of this book.

I was able to meet Stan a few times and he's a great guy to chat with, very passionate about what he does and loves to tell stories about the old Marvel days with Kirby & Ditko.
