While we're on the topic of Gaiman, here is a comic book to which he contributed a story (essay? poem?). There are three cover variations to this comic book. Here is the variation that is signed by Neil Gaiman and Jim Lee.

LIBERTY COMICS #2. The cover of this edition is from the Gaiman/Lee story within.

Table of Contents, featuring stories contributed by various authors and illustrated by different artists:

Note that below the Table, it references two of the covers, "Kick Ass Cover" and "Free Speech Cover." Both of those covers are included in the pages of this special edition.

Inside back cover: This comic book was produced as a benefit for the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund, of which Neil Gaiman is an active supporter.

Here is the Signed/Limited edition of a fun anthology called, THE THACKERY T. LAMBSHEAD POCKET GUIDE TO ECCENTRIC & DISCREDITED DISEASES, published by Night Shade Books.

Creative endpapers and Table of Contents:

A handy glossary of featured contributors, such as Neil Gaiman and China Mieville, and the pages on which their work appears:

On the signature pages each person signed over their last name which is printed lightly in each box:

    ...

    ...

I believe there are 650 signed copies of the limited edition.

Very cool book. I like how the names are in light color and the contributor signs on it.

Here are a couple Joe Hill items I picked up at the charity auction here at TDT.org. It is the 1st edition/1st printing of HEART-SHAPED BOX signed and dated by Joe Hill, along with a custom wood traycase designed and built by our friend, Dolso/Dick.

    I love this traycase!
    Very, very nice, Patrick!!!!

Patrick, love all your new additions! The EP signed Vonnegut for Sirens of Titan is top on my Vonnegut want list. I love that book. Very nice collection. It would truly be an accomplishment to get them all someday!

I also really like your S/L copy of Thackery T. Lambshead Pocket Guide. I just got it myself a few weeks ago from Camelot, as it was selling for such a reasonable price for all those signatures and I realized it was technically a China Mieville signed limited I did not own yet. I am assuming that you got it for the same reasons regarding Gaiman? It looks like a really fun little book. Vandermeer is publishing a sequel anthology called The Thackery T. Lambshead Cabinet of Curiosities: Exhibits, Oddities, Images, and Stories, which, much to my dismay, will not receive an S/L treatment. Regardless, I pre-ordered. Fun stuff.

Finally, I really like that cased Heart Shaped Box. Congratulations. I think you got that for a steal. Had I been home, I would have given you a run for your money.

Love those Vonneguts too! My LOOK AT THE BIRDIE is numbered 79. I assume you also ordered WHILE MORTALS SLEEP? I haven't removed the shrinkwrap from mine yet, so don't know the number.

I went there yesterday and it was a pretty cool inclusion, especially considering I hadn't known a whole lot about her.

Just thought you might find that interesting.

I came across this the other day. Market value is likely negligible, but that's not the point. This old, later edition paperback is the earliest in-person inscribed and signed book I own. I met Peter S. Beagle back when I was in high school. At the time, he was one of my favorite authors and therefore akin to a rock star. I was in awe at his kindness.

Does that mean no additions are you waiting on 1 BIG update??
"A real limited edition, far from being an expensive autograph stapled to a novel, is a treasure. And like all treasures do, it transforms the responsible owner into a caretaker, and being a caretaker of something as fragile and easily destroyed as ideas and images is not a bad thing but a good one...and so is the re-evaluation of what books are and what they do that necessarily follows." - Stephen King

There is a Last Unicorn movie tour that's been going on for a while... they are trying to hit most every big (or small) city. They postponed the one near me but I'm hoping to get to go at some point.
