Officially now my most treasured King book - signed on my trip to France
The Shining USA 1st/1st
I thought long and hard on which book to get signed (as we were only allowed one) and eventually opted for this. It was between this, 'Salem's Lot, IT or The Stand but The Shining always resonates with me as I first read it as a teenager and I think I've read it more than any other King book (plus it was a prequel to Doctor Sleep on a Doctor Sleep tour!) Now I need a signed Doctor Sleep USA 1st to go with it. It's never-fuckin'-ending!!!! Lol.
I also picked this up in Paris (in the store where the signing was held) a French 2 volume slipcased paperback edition of Under The Dome. Nice memento of the trip. It's still shrink wrapped.
Also from Paris, the copy of Docteur Sleep issued with the ticket to the Grand Rex event. Alas not signed, but with over 2000 people there and reportedly only 100 signed copies mixed in, there wasn't much chance. Still a fantastic event and another nice memento of the trip.
And a nice package to come home to. This (not so) little beauty.
Great stuff! (Almost) makes me want to take my Dome out of the shrinkwrap. Any luck finding a trade UK DOCTOR SLEEP paperback?
