    I LOVE The Shining the book.

    Never did like Kubrick's interpretation.

    I know many of you will say I must be insane to not appreciate the genius...but I read the book first and loved the Danny POV and most of it was lost to Nicholson's Jack (which was truly brilliant) and I cannot escape the influence of the book in my judgement of the film. It should have been more Danny's story than Jack's.
