In case anyone is interested.. I just found out that Stephen King will be on
"The View" to talk about Under The Dome. Airs 11/11 at 11:00 est

That should be VERY interesting.

Anyone know if he's going to do The Today's Show? I know he did it for Duma Key and since he's going to be in NYC on the 10th anyways it would make sense.

EDIT: Do you have a link to where it says he'll be on? I'm not seeing anything on the website.

I'm going to say $400 is the long-term going rate, with a peak at $750 for a couple weeks (which is when I'll be selling)...I think people will actually KNOW about this, and be looking for it, unlike the last several s/ls, which only us freaks here even knew about...

Rahfa....aint no way this book is going to hit $750 in the next 12 months.

1,500 signed/limited copies plus at least 1,500 signed/trade copies plus the unsigned $75 version is a lot of books on the market.

I'm tellin ya'...I just saw it happen with the Dan Brown Lost Symbol s/l...it came out of nowhere and rode the wave of sudden publicity to an irrationally exuberant price peak...

Like I said - the big difference is that this is actually getting publicity...people know about it. Even the DT s/l editions were only a step above niche items.

Don't mistake me for thinking it will STAY at $750, just that it will peak and then roll back.

The signed trades won't start showing up right away in any case...and will actually help the s/l's value, because people will be worried they are fake.

I find it interesting that S&S, who initially sent out the email containing the link to those pictures, said it's for the Under the Dome Collector's Edition. From that, I assume that they are only in the Collector's Edition. I wonder if they are incorporated in the book itself or are just on those "cards" that are included.

The impression I got was that these illustrations will be used for chapters or parts, so printed inside the actual book.
