Please, correct me if I am wrong, but other than a few "original programs" (i.e. House of Cards, Stranger Things & Narco's to name a couple) I just do not see the value in having a "Netflix" subscription. Of course, I have the full monty of "Movie Channels" from "Directv". I use my daughters account to log in. If I am missing something, please educate me. Otherwise, like most "alternative providers" I don't see the monthly commitment value.

The Houston Astros cheated Major League Baseball from 2017-18!!!! Is that how we teach our kids to play the game now?????
You're missing a massive amount of original programming that they offer. There's so much I've been meaning to watch but can't catch up. Daredevil, Luke Cage, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, Jessica Jones, The OA, Love, The Crown, Orange is the New Black, Sense8, Bloodline, Master of None. I'm probably forgetting a bunch too.
Just because these programs don't interest you, doesn't mean Netflix isn't offering good value in the eyes of many.
Class dismissed.

Netflix has tons of original programming, from series, to actual movies, and documentaries. Plus, of course various other movies and lots of older and newer series (right now I'm watching The L Word, which is a Showtime series).

There is a lot but you named most of the big ones, I think. Here's a full listing: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_o...ted_by_Netflix
I just started FOUR SEASONS IN HAVANA, a Caribbean Noir crime series in four parts, based on the novels of a Cuban author. Liking it a lot -- we don't often get a peek at Cuba. Set in the 1990s.
Author of The Road to the Dark Tower, Stephen King: A Complete Exploration of His Work, Life, and Influences and The Dark Tower Companion. Co-editor with Stephen King of the anthology Flight or Fright.
Depends on what you are looking for, Bill. I don't care much about "original programming," at least, not as a must-watch first run items. TV shows by and large do not interest me. I have, on occasion, watched shows after-the-fact if I see good word of mouth and the show seems within my areas of interest. For example, I watched DVDs of Breaking Bad and The Wire after the shows' runs were over and enjoyed them.
I use Netflix (DVD subscription) to watch all sorts of esoteric films--especially older and/or foreign films. A lot of really offbeat stuff. A vast majority are not available with streaming or Hulu or subscription services. At least not to my knowledge (maybe I am wrong on this?). I'm sure you can find almost anything on the internet if you look around, but I'm content to get the DVDs sent to my house and watch a double feature of, say, Terrifying Girls' High School: Lynch Law Classroom and Female Prisoner 701 Scorpion one night and then Kurosawa's Drunken Angel and The Bad Sleep Well a couple of days later. I get a constant stream of DVDs delivered to my house for $12 a month. As my current queue has 196 titles in it, I'll never run out of things to watch that are of great interest to me. I consider this an amazing monthly value.

I watched it last night. People need to watch UNCLE JOHN before it's taken off Netflix. That will be difficult movie to find once it's off there.

Yea I don't really get it either. It doesn't have the same level of action as say Daredevil, but it's still pretty good. Character development feels a little thin in places, but for the most part that's pretty much the status quo with these Marvel Netflix shows. Overall I like it better than Luke Cage and the 2nd half of Daredevil season 2. I still like Jessica Jones and the rest of Daredevil more though. I'm looking forward to seeing what they do with Defenders later this year.

I'm not sure why people hated Bernthal in The Walking Dead so much. I felt the show was really lacking something after he left it. I think people just didn't like his head rubbing mannerism and just wrote him off. Bernthal was great in The Walking Dead, and everything else I've seen him in.

Yea I don't really care one way or the other about Bernthal (never really liked Walking Dead), but you're right he killed it as The Punisher. Which I think is why the first half of Daredevil Season 2 was so good. It's the second half of the season where the focus shifts to the Elektra story line where the season really fell off for me.
