While I agree whole-heartedly regarding the vulgarisms, I have to say your Yankee Fandom is currently under review!!! LOL I refuse to have that book in my collection!!!! I have sat with the "Bleacher Creatures" wearing my red "Boston Sucks" T-shirt and have been known to join in on chants of "Asshole" aimed at some nut-job who shows up at Yankee stadium's bleacher section in a "Martinez" jersey.Originally Posted by CRinVA

As to O'Nan's fiction - maybe I'll give it a try, maybe not. His prose in Faithful sure does not sound representative of what he can do with fiction! In Faithful even if you did not know which author penned which sectino it would be reather easy to pick out their representative parts!
Funny story during that game. Kevin Millar was new to the Sox at the time and having heard "Roll Call" for the Yanks in the top half of the inning, the Bleacher Creatures started chanting "Ke-vin Mill-ar" cause he was in right field. Well the poor bastard turned to the crowd and tipped his cap and 1,000+ Bleacher Creatures shouted "ASSHOLE" at him. LOL LOL LOL New York, gotta love it and New Yorkers, too. No other place like it!!!
Ever since Pedro threw the 80 year old Don Zimmer to the ground something changed in the rivalry for me. What a no-class move!!!! Anycase, I have more than a couple of friends who are Sox fans. We just try to talk about other things!!! LOL

Anyone have an extra trade edition dust jacket for DT7? i didn't see any listed on Grants website and so i emailed them but i haven't heard back. If youhave one let me know if your willing to sell it. Picked a real nice signed copy of the book, but it has a not so nice jacket on it, that made the price much better !!
I think that you should buy a flawless regular copy and change the DJ...it'll probably cost you the same as only a DJ.
