yes and that was my comment was regarding - the comic books, NOT Charlie the Choo Choo
"A real limited edition, far from being an expensive autograph stapled to a novel, is a treasure. And like all treasures do, it transforms the responsible owner into a caretaker, and being a caretaker of something as fragile and easily destroyed as ideas and images is not a bad thing but a good one...and so is the re-evaluation of what books are and what they do that necessarily follows." - Stephen King
If the film borrows storyline from the comics wouldn't that give them value again?

The Houston Astros cheated Major League Baseball from 2017-18!!!! Is that how we teach our kids to play the game now?????
As predicted (two more days to go), there is no CTCC distribution/signing by Beryl Evans.
That could change in a second, but I doubt it.

That is if they have been distributed yet. Makes you think though, if that is the case, they most likely won't be signed by "Beryl Evans" which will probably help to maintain the value of SDCC copies.
I for one put no value on the "Beryl Evans signature".

Doesn't NYCC go through Sunday?
Sorry for any confusion...vendors told me King comics were hot like 5 years ago but demand totally dried up so they are not carried anymore by many comic book stores....MidTown Comics (a GIANT in NYC) had a big booth at ComicCon offering 20% off ALL graphic novels...hundreds and hundreds of graphic novels but no a single King Dark Tower story.
I agree that King comics hold little or no real value at this point. I know tons of people who collected them (myself included), but pretty much $$ down the drain...My own shortcoming....I remember going to MidTown Comics on Lexington Ave EVERY time a new comic was released and paid serious $$ to get both the Jae Lee black and white variant cover (usually cost was $75) and the colored variant (mostly $35). I spent a small fortune but I have every single regular issue and every variant of Dark Tower Gunslinger Born through Fall of Gilead....7 story arcs in all....as you know, Jae Lee did all the pencils for arcs 1-5 and Richard Isanove did the coloring, but Marvel "booted" Jae and let Richard do the story arc and coloring for arc #6 before bringing Jae back to do the pencils for the final arc #7 Fall of Gilead....I got Jae to sign EVERY regular comic and all variants up through arc #5. He moved to Vegas and I never got him to sign my #6/7 story arcs.
Dragline : Nothin'. A handful of nothin'. You stupid mullet head. He beat you with nothin'. Just like today when he kept comin' back at me - with nothin'.
Luke : Yeah, well, sometimes nothin' can be a real cool hand.
Where did the others go??? Not sure, but you ALL saw that Cemetery Dance is selling some (how many I do not know....BRIAN FREEMAN???? weigh in???). I ordered 5 from CD. I think price was $12? a pittance compared to the hundreds$/thousands$ people spent for a "fake" Beryl Evans inscription at Comic Con in SD.

Those aren't the same though. Are they, David? From what I have heard (and I ordered 2 from CD) those are different from the ones distributed at SDCC. They have a blurb from King printed on the front board and (I think) will have a price and a bar code. The ones from SDCC didn't have those. It is my understanding that the ones CD is selling are retail versions that can also be bought through amazon, B&N, etc.

There has been no conclusive proof that 500 were actually printed, only that up to 500 were authorized to be printed.
I guess the argument can be made that the SDCC edition is the true 1st and sales are still going between $500-$800. The lowest sale I've seen was for $428.00 on eBay that ended on 10/8.
