Yeah, Shardik and Plaster Man (both of the 21 series) are SUPER detailed and just simply stunning in my opinion.

Actually, it is an original piece that he donated for the HF last year, I believe. I was just using it as a "test". I'm guessing the, Dameron remarques, which are older photo's, don't meet current standards or something at imageshack. The Maitz piece was fairly new. Once I hear back from them at Imageshack I can hopefully adjust everything back to normal. I hope you folks don't mind bearing with me until this gets resolved. I'm actually kinda pissed as I pay for a "Premium" package over there and I am up to date and show "active" with next invoice due in March. I pay automatically as well.

lol, that was exactly my reaction. Everytime I looked at one I thought that one had to be the best and then got to the next one and changed my mind.
Ned did this this one for a Haven Foundation Fundraiser auction. Unlike the others, it was done in a Viking reprint.

I've had these for nearly 20 years. Original oils from DT2. I bought them directly from Ned way back when things were cheap (relatively speaking). They are both big paintings...a bit over 30"x20". They are oldies but I still like them very much.

Yes. Those are the only two. Ned told me he fashioned the old woman's clothing after the Old Dutch Girl cleanser that was popular years ago. For those of us who grew up back then it was one of the more widely recognized commercial logos. As a young child I found the logo a little scary for some reason. I think that you couldn't see her face in the logo made her seem mysterious. I think that was why Ned patterned her after the logo. The old woman looked like she meant business and you had better not make a mess or get in her way. The motto was "Old Dutch Cleanser chases dirt, makes everything spic and span." From what I can gather this product and Bab-O (another cleanser) advertised heavily in the 1940's on serial radio programs giving rise to the name "soap operas."

That piece I learned about from an insider close to Ned when he was starting the art and I told said insider (a member here) that I wanted it and I contacted Ned directly....so I bought it when completed....until you came along and was SO IN LOVE with the piece I felt you should have it....as I recall, you acquired it for almost same what I paid for it.
And Bob.....I've been a drooling puppy dog my whole collecting career regarding you for a lot of reasons, but Aunt Talitha is one that ranks near the top of my list. That scene in the book is SO MOVING to me (and it was moving to Roland as well)....as you can see from my postings above, I've commissioned Ned 3 times to do that scene for me in a Remarque and I LOVE THEM...plus, Ned gave me a small prelim he did for that scene way back when. I really need to get that framed plus a VERY SPECIAL Whelan piece Michael gave me as well.
