Andy the dog played "Daisy" the dog in JOHN WICK.
They spread bacon grease on his face so the dog would lick it for the scene (grease on Reeves's face so dig would lick, not the other way around).
The actor who had to 'kill' 'Daisy' was so troubled he played with the dog between set-ups.
I feel much better now.
I'm sure if there is intelligent life somewhere out there in the universe, they are wise enough to stay away from us.
And the people bowed and prayed, to the cell phone god they made...
I'm very tired of being carpet bombed by meta. All the more reason why I try to avoid facebook.

I haven't noticed any change since they switched their name.
Hearts are tough, she said, most times hearts don't break, and I'm sure that's right . . . but what about then? What about who we were then? What about hearts in Atlantis?

Had a discussion the other day about words and their meanings and how they've changed over the years.
The discussion was about words like “Neurotypical" or "cis-gendered", which essentially mean "not autistic" and "not transgendered".
One person asked why you can't just use the word normal since the dictionary definition of normal is "typical".
I've always thought we don't use it because people don't like to be labeled as "not normal" and that what is "normal" is so subjective.
Then I got to wondering if this was a thing in just the English language or if other languages go through this same transition of certain words no longer being socially acceptable to use.
Like we used to use the word handicapped but now the word disabled seems to be preferred.
I figured there were enough people here that spoke other languages than English that would be able to chime in on this.

I too would love to know if the euphemism treadmill is exclusive to English (or to certain parts of the west).
When they said how many dollars it would cost, I was amazed at how badly they'd overvalued it - then I realized they'd overvalued the dollars as well.
Please remember that American English is not the same a UK English. UK still use some language that USA would deem offensive.

I know I have somewhere a copy of the book "The Shape Under The Sheet" by Stephen Spignesi.
It's a giant blue door-blocker, easily recognisable and I can't find it...
Ever happened to you?

Yup, it once took me about a week to find my Berni Wrightson CYCLE OF THE WEREWOLF portfolio.

(Found it : it was obviously hidden behind a decoration in one of my shelves : a "Salem's Lot" promo wooden box)

Even the catalog only has the promotional pictures.
