No problem, Heather!
And how cool would it be, post-COVID, to do a TDT meet-up at Sundance?

It would be amazing. On all levels of the Tower. Seriously though, we SHOULD talk about a meet-up after COVID!
A NEW GAME BEGINS
That would be amazing.
Mike are there any films in particular that you're looking at for Sundance? There were quite a few that sounded interesting. But I guess I'm out of the movie loop this year. I honestly haven't been keeping track of any new films released in theaters, nor have I heard about any of the ones coming to Sundance.
Only the gentle are ever really strong.
It would be so fun and I would totally be down.
Two of the most buzzed-about films sold out in minutes before I could get tickets. I logged on as soon as they went on sale too. They are called Passing and Coda. Passing stars Ruth Nega and Tessa Thompson and marks Rebecca Hall's directorial debut.
One of the other films that's getting a lot of buzz is called Together Together starring Ed Helms. A few of the ones I'm really looking forward to are On the Count of Three, How it Ends and The World to Come. I rolled the dice on a few more films that sounded interesting. It should be a fun experience.

This. Is. Awesome.
And pretty damn funny too. I watched parts of it a few months ago but this is the first time I've seen the whole thing put together. This is what happens when a bunch of actors and actresses are stuck at home for months at a time.
If they ever actually remake this movie, Mackenzie Davis needs to be Buttercup and Pedro Pascal nees to be Inigo Montoya
Hearts are tough, she said, most times hearts don't break, and I'm sure that's right . . . but what about then? What about who we were then? What about hearts in Atlantis?
I've recently watched a fim entitled News of the World...
I enjoyed it very much, has anyone else seen it and, what did you think of it?

Hey, Alinda!!! Long time, no see!! How's tricks? You doing well?
I saw "News of the World" and enjoyed it very much. Not exactly your "A-Typical" western. I thought the reading the news town to town bit was kinda cool, something you (at least I) never really thought about which made it sorta interesting. Of course, Tom Hanks was well, Tom Hanks his usual good performance. I don't see it as "Oscar material" (Though it will likely garnish a few nominations cause of, Hanks), but a decent and entertaining way to spend an evening. Load up on the popcorn!! LOL
I'd give it a 4.5 out of 6 Beers on the RFRS (Randall Flagg Rating System) Hope you and your family are doing well and its great to see you back here hanging with us, Cretins!! lol lol

Not sure why, but I liked this "Dune" trailer more than any others I've seen. Then again, maybe I was just paying better attention!! LOL And yet, ANOTHER BATMAN!!!!
The monster movie and Suicide Squad look pretty good as well.

Believe it or not, this one has a few different flicks worth checking out as well as repeats of the previous video. There's a decent amount of different films though.
Of note: Ghostbusters: Afterlife, F&F VIIII, Black Widow, Quiet Place II, Morbius and Venom II: Let there be Carnage

Bad movie idea: A shot for shot remake of Back to the Future except the "present" is set in 2020 and the kid still gets sent back to the 1950's.
The first thing Marty does when he gets there is walk into a diner to ask to use the phone, then looks at the phone book to find Doc's address. A modem kid would never even think of that.
Hell what am I saying, the kid would get shot in the mall parking lot in the first act because the Delorean is a manual transmission.

I keep catching BTTF on TV for some reason. Was watching the ending of the original last night and one of the lines Marty said struck me as funny.
When he's sitting in the car waiting for the alarm clock to go off so he can return to 1985 he's trying to figure out how to warn Doc about getting shot. Then he says something like "If only there was more time. What am I talking about, I'm in a time machine! I have all the time I want! 10 minutes outta do it."
10 minutes? Seriously dude? You don't give yourself an hour? or 10 hours? Or an entire day? You give yourself 10 minutes?
I mean really though, what was Doc supposed to do in 10 minutes anyway? Hey Doc, you're going to get shot in 10 minutes. Hope you have a bullet-proof vest in your truck...

After highlighting 40 films we can guarantee are worth seeing this year and films we hope will get U.S. distribution, it’s time we venture into the unknown. Due to all the pandemic-related delays, our most-anticipated list this year may ring familiar to those who follow our coverage, but there’s still plenty of currently under-the-radar movies that will hopefully make a mark in 2021.
While the majority might not have a set release–let alone any confirmed festival premiere–most have wrapped production and will likely debut at some point in 2021, so make sure to check back for updates over the next twelve months and beyond.
Soooooooooo
who else is hyped for Mortal Kombat!?
I applied for a freelance writing position with Screen Rant last week and was pretty happy when they offered me the position a couple days ago. Now, reading all the documents, trainings, and guidelines they sent along, I'm less enthusiastic. The features would be 1,000 words, which is fine for the ~$10-30/article payment structure, but they when you factor in: the edits they want you to go back and do, adding/editing images for each article, creating headlines, keywords, and text for social media optimization, writing a shortened article of the one you already wrote, adding links to other Screen Rant articles within your text, checking in with the editors and mentors, and everything else, you'd end up spending a few hours per article. Multiply that times the 15 they require you to do per month and that's dozens of hours I could be spending on my own writing.. I'm thinking I'm going to pass on the opportunity.

Yeah, for sure--it's a lot of extra stuff, not just, "write the article and e-mail it to us."
A NEW GAME BEGINS
Yeah, that's going to be at least 1.5 hours per article. I'm keen on numbers, so break it down in a way you can calculate ROI.
1.5 hours per article x 15 articles will be at least 30 hours of your free time, so say roughly 7.5 hours every weekend (if not more). Average out the pay to $20 per, looking at $300 a month.
Of course there are other considerations like can this lead to better opportunities etc., but it will definitely require a substantial investment of time and energy on your part. Just gotta decide if its worth it to you...
