Did you see the one where they keep insulting each other?
Only the gentle are ever really strong.
One of the biggest disappointments of the year is Passengers getting terrible reviews. That is one that I've been looking forward to for ages. Such a shame.

Watched Sully last night. I thought it was a really good movie. Had me captivated throughout. And interesting to get a sort of inside view of the events.

I haven't seen Huntsman, but I've seen Inferno. It wasn't great, but I didn't hate it. I was having a good night with friends and it elevated the film for me. If I hadn't seen it in the that scenario, it would have probably made it. I was also expecting it to be terrible, so my expectations were low.

I had read the book which was not great itself but one interesting thing about the book compared to the movie is in the endThey completely changed the somewhat interesting ending for a hack Hollywood ending. Insanely frustrating after sitting through a sub par film. They also tacked on a useless love story. ugh, still bitter about that one!spoiler

I'm not sure if we've ever discussed this before, but I've wanted to talk about this for a while. If we have, just ignore me.
Over the years, we have discussed every aspect of film on these boards. Most commonly, directors, actors, and composers. One thing that rarely gets discussed is the studio. I wanted to highlight A24 and the amazing films they released in 2016 alone:
Green Room
The Witch
The Lobster
Swiss Army Man
American Honey
Moonlight
What they're doing is really important for the film industry right now. In a world where more and more original films are being ignored, A24 continues to produce high quality, unique material. Their studio might just be the last remaining bright light and in an industry that is starting dim a little bit.

Agreed. If I know it's an A24 release I pretty much have to see it.
Hmmm. Okay...
For the movie Drifter:
"A pair of outlaw brothers are held captive in a desolate town run by a small family of psychotic cannibalistic lunatics and their sadistic mayor."

I know it's early, but there is a scene with a CD player in Split that is most likely to be used in one of those year-end mashups that we love so much. Guaranteed.
When I watch movies now, I sometimes see a scene and I think. "Yup, that's the one that will represent film x,y,z in those movie mashups." The scene I'm referencing is sure to be it.
