Kinda surprising to see Borat trailing. I think it's much better than The Hangover. And very nice seeing that Arsenic and Old Lace is not that far behind...

I think (Borat)'s much better than The Hangover.

Certainly more original. The Hangover may have shown some creativity beyond other films of its type, but not too much in comparison.

I don't know; that may or may not be true. I feel about the first one perhaps differently now, or perhaps still okay. It is a good question.

However, no matter how bad additional Sacha Baron Cohen projects become, Borat will always stand as an artistic triumph.

I don't think the sequels make the original film less funny. Alien Resurrection sucked, but it doesn't dampen my love for the other films.

Crappy sequels are not believed to tarnish the original work which they rip off in any way, and they always make money, so if you produce as many as you can, you can't possibly lose, am I right?

The don't necessarily tarnish the original, but they do dilute the hell out of it. Saw was very original, but now there's nothing original about it since the idea was sapped until nothing remained. If the two hangover sequels weren't the exact same idea it wouldn't devalue the original as much. You can only make the same movie so many times until the great qualities of the original start to feel less so. Half the time all sequels will do is make you see problems in the original that you didn't notice before...which is why I simply cannot re-watch Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl anymore...
