Yea my point isn't really that they did it wrong, more that it just felt out of place. I actually like how they handled his introduction, I'm just not sure it was necessary to the overall story they where trying to tell with Civil War. It added to that awesome action scene, but didn't really add anything to the overall story.

He was one of several characters who did nothing really significant. More time spent developing the point of contention instead of showing off all the fighters certainly would have made a deeper movie in general, though.

Some of their excuses for taking either side were a little flimsy to begin with.

Just runs a few errands for Cap so that Steve can have time for dating. Even the secondary heroes who do have an important moment only get one each. Too many characters for 2 1/2 hrs.
Instead of Black Panther, Nick Fury should have been back and had arguements with the General backstage of the words between the two teams of heroes, and Iron Man should have had to go before Congress again instead of this being about the U.N.

Marvel Studios has officially confirmed new cast members for the upcoming Thor: Ragnarok, including two-time Oscar winner Cate Blanchett (Blue Jasmine, Cinderella”) as the mysterious and powerful new villain Hela, along with Jeff Goldblum (Jurassic Park, Independence Day: Resurgence) who joins the cast as the eccentric Grandmaster, Tessa Thompson (Creed, Selma) who will bring the classic hero Valkyrie to life on the big screen, and Karl Urban (Star Trek, The Lord of the Rings: Return of the King) who will add his might to the fray as Skurge. In addition, Marvel has confirmed that Mark Ruffalo will reprise his role of Bruce Banner/The Hulk in the sequel.
“The continuation of the epic Thor franchise will be powerful and unique, and with the additions of Cate, Jeff, Tessa, Karl, and Mark to the cast we have the makings of his most dangerous and heroic adventure yet,” said Producer Kevin Feige. “The sheer, raw talent each of these actors brings to the screen can’t be quantified. Having any one of them join the Marvel Cinematic Universe would be an honor, and having all of them is incredible.”
Thor’s new cast members join returning stars Chris Hemsworth in the title role for the fifth time; Tom Hiddleston as Thor’s adversarial, adopted brother, Loki; Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild Award winner Idris Elba as the Asgardian sentry, Heimdall; and Academy Award winner Sir Anthony Hopkins again portraying Odin, Ruler of Asgard. Jaimie Alexander also took to Twitter to tease her return as Lady Sif in the film.
Thor: Ragnarok, the third installment of Marvel’s popular Norse Super Hero, is directed by Oscar nominated filmmaker Taika Waititi (Two Cars, One Night, What We Do in the Shadows). Kevin Feige will produce the film, joined by executive producers Louis D’Esposito, Brad Winderbaum, Victoria Alonso, Thomas M. Hammel and Stan Lee.

Doctor Strange is going to be BOSS. This film and his eventual inclusion into the Avengers will give the films a completely new dynamic.

There’s an exciting confirmation today for Marvel Cinematic Universe fans as Guardians of the Galaxy‘s Vin Diesel just took to Facebook Live with a whole lot more to say than just, “I am Groot.” According to the Fast and the Furious franchise star, Joe and Anthony’s Russo’s Avengers: Infinity War is officially set to deliver an Avengers Guardians of the Galaxy crossover!
“The Guardians will be included in ‘Avengers: Infinity War,” says Diesel after reflecting on his time with Marvel Studios so far, “and that’s incredibly exciting.”
Meanwhile, Cinema Blend caught up the Russos and got some clarification about why only the first of their two Avengers films will feature the Infinity War title.
“We wanted the movie to be very different and distinctive, you know?” Joe Russo told the site. “There’s certainly cross-pollination between characters and some story-arcs, but you know, the first movie is very clearly Avengers: Infinity War and, in time, we will reveal what the second film is… You’ll learn [it], but not for quite some time.”
It was revealed last month that, for the time being, the second film is temporarily known only as Untitled Avengers film with a May 3, 2019 release planned. Will it also feature an Avengers Guardians of the Galaxy crossover? Only time will tell, so check back for details as they become available.
Production on the two Infinity War movies is set to begin in November of this year in Atlanta, Georgia with both movies being shot back to back. It remains to be seen which characters will be the primary focus of both films, though we do know that Captain Marvel will appear in the movies ahead of her solo movie in 2019.
Screenwriters Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely will pen the scripts for both films and the plan is for both films to be shot entirely in IMAX.
Not really news; that much at least is fundamentally clear. Changing the title of A:IW:part two doesn't mean much. It was a commercial trend among the studios to make big films in segments, but now doubt about that strategy is going around. It's not really hard to understand that they're going to give it a bit of its own hook -- that writer's breathless inquiry about it is just a tease; not puzzlement at what specific type of new hook caused the change to be decided, but merely hype of still not answering what detail will fill it in. What I am wondering, though, is whether they'll waste Captain Marvel. With her premiering in Infinity War and then having her solo film between chapters, it seems natural for her to go-between Avengers and the other galaxy, but I read elsewhere that they're changing her origin because they think the comics version is somehow too close to D.C.'s Green Lantern. It would be silly if that means totally focusing on Earth.

Marvel has landed another series on ABC: The Inhumans.
The comic book studio — which previously abandoned plans for an Inhumans feature film — is now set to team with ABC Studios for an eight-episode live-action drama series set to premiere in the fall of 2017.
Few details are known about the project, including producers, cast and premise. The first two episodes of the series will debut in Imax theaters for two weeks in summer 2017 before moving to ABC in September where they will be followed by six subsequent new episodes.
Sources note that this is not the planned Inhumans feature film, which was initially set for July 2019 but pulled from the schedule. It is also not a spinoff of Marvel drama Agents of SHIELD, which has spent a good deal of time exploring a storyline about its Inhumans.
The Inhumans, a race of superhumans with diverse and singularly unique powers, were first introduced in Marvel Comics by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby in 1965. Since then, they have become among the most popular characters in the Marvel Universe.
ABC's The Inhumans will explore the never-before-told epic adventure of Black Bolt and the royal family.
For ABC, this marks the latest Marvel drama to join the network's schedule. The network last season canceled Agent Carter after two seasons and passed on a spinoff of Agents of SHIELD. Marvel, meanwhile, is teaming with Hulu on another comic book-based series that is in development and has a full slate of dramas at Netflix as well as upcoming X-Men spinoff Legion at FX, among other projects.
The big-screen version of The Inhumans was announced two years ago for a 2018 release. It was pushed back to 2019 as part of a shuffle to make room for Spider-Man: Homecoming, before being pulled from the schedule in April. Marvel had been positioning the Inhumans to be the Marvel Cinematic Universe's answer to The X-Men. In recent comics, Marvel has portrayed them as a persecuted minority, similar to the Marvel mutant characters Fox has the film and TV rights to.
For Imax, this marks the first time a TV series has debuted in theaters in this fashion. Imax will also serve as a financing participant on the pilot. It's also the first time a TV series has debuted in Imax.

The Inhumans TV series will also be filmed completely with Imax cameras.
