    Kris, how are you storing the necklace/box? I would store it in a tarnish proof box or jewelry bag/cloth. Also if that purple box isn't acid free, make sure it's not touching any part of the books.

    The necklace is in the box as it came back then... NOT in the book or on he book no. The box had a little cushion and then some tissue around it. I just used a cloth to clean it not long ago and the box has no marks in it. It sits on my glass cased shelf.
