Very curious to know what this list is based on?
“The battle between good and evil is endlessly fascinating because we are participants every day.” - Stephen King
You mean a list where Harry Potter is better than Moby Dick, or hell, any of the other 93 entries? I, too, would like to know.
And no Lord of the Rings, but the Hobbit makes it?

The Houston Astros cheated Major League Baseball from 2017-18!!!! Is that how we teach our kids to play the game now?????
Still no excuse for excluding LOTR!!! IMHO of course.

Well, everybody who's read LotR has also read The Hobbit, but not everybody who's read The Hobbit has also read LotR. So if you pick just one, to save space, that might be excused by "trying to take into account each work's cultural impact and influence." In theory, anyway, maybe.
This is in the movie list and not King related, but I find it a head scratcher! They have Jaws as the 18th best film (I have it in my personal top 4). They then have a picture of King Kong with Gollum sitting on his arm and Frankenstein's monster in his hand while a trio of great whites swim threw the air around him. the attached caption about movie monsters says "we still fear the water thanks to the shark in Jaws". But when they have their mini list of the 10 Greatest Horror Flicks Jaws is no where to be found. A great film that did for beaches and water in general what Psycho (ranked #1) did for showers! I just don't get it!
