3 Non-signed US 1st/1st Night Shift (can't find any decent copies). (Got Night Shift)

5 Grant Gunslinger 2nd edition.
6 Non-signed US 1st/1st Salem's Lot (difficult to find very nice copies)
7 S/L Doctor Sleep (Got S/L DSleep !!)
8 US Doctor Sleep 1st/1st signed trade (09-24-13)

I would like to continue to refine the focus of my collection, which is now "The Dark Tower" and "Books published by Donald M. Grant" (which conveniently intersect). I would like to add some of the lesser Grant S/Ls in 2013 (Maybe Desperation or anthology), which I hopefully can finance by selling off some things that just don't fit anymore.

Mine are pretty much the same as last year's:

I'm looking for proofs I don't yet own.

I plan on getting both the US and UK proofs of whatever King's 2012 trade book is going to be (I'm betting on Dr. Sleep.) Of course, I'll be getting the trade and hopefully a signed trade of whatever book it is.

Except the year changes from 2012 to 2013.

Also, I plan on getting a Shining S/L and gift edition.

as ive found 2 scarce items i was hunting this year, it's a good thing that are scored off. So, for 2013, it will be
- 22/11/63 (french version of 11/22/63), proof... should be getting this within the next few weeks.
- CARRIE 2013, movie press kit & any promo material
- GHOST BROTHERS TO DARKLAND COUNTY : any promo material there could be
- JOYLAND, proof (if there will be one)
- UNDER THE DOME, the serie : any promotional material there can be
- DOCTOR SLEEP, proof
- Meeting (?) Stephen King & get a book personalized
- movie press kits i am currently missing
- getting somewhere if an old project of mine.
- if i get a better wage & more space to store them : more french 1st editions that i am missing. I am not really hunting any just now, cause i simply do not have any space in the flat.

Not related to King :
- new job, with a better wage. if possible an ecommerce website about books (there are a few interesting ones out there, for whom i could be useful).
- a job in fashion for my gf (2012 wasnt a good year for her, workwise speaking, as she got a major back surgery and therefore was of work) >>> if i had to chose only 1 thing from this list, it would be this one. This means a lot more than anything else. I would even prefer my girlfriend to finally get this and then be 100% happy than meeting Steve.

I made some major progress on my King collection in 2012, with much credit due to the generosity and sales of my new DT family. My sincerest gratitude!! It is especially nice to have items that will not only complete my collection, but also serve as constant reminders of our friendship and this community.

In 2013, I'm hoping to finish up the "simple" stuff for sure. (Since big ticket items will be less feasible after the baby arrives, I'll budget wisely.) I'd love to complete my DVD collection before DVDs become completely obsolete. I'd also like to grab the rest of the low cost 1st/1sts on my wishlist. I'd say the only somewhat expensive item I'll be hoping to snag is the Castle Rock Newsletters Volume 5 to complete my set. Of course, sometimes incredible deals present themselves... and I know I won't be able to say no to any items on my wishlist. lol

Oh, and I'll need to get my hands on any new releases in 1st/1st so I don't fall behind. Gee, I better hope this Christmas money earns interest fast!!

The thing I really need/want is to upgrade my bookcases. Right now I've only got two of the cheap 6 ft tall x 3 ft wide by 1 ft deep types, and they are not only crammed to overflowing but the shelves are starting to sag. Since I've got plenty of space downstairs (below grade, so no direct sunlight and always 15 degrees cooler than the rest of the house), it's just a matter of deciding where to put them and then finding some good solid wood bookcases for the right price to fill the space.

As for books, I don't have any single one that I'm just dying to get. I'd like to get a real steal sometime during the year, a real find. The Stand S/L is always on my list, just a matter of price. Also any single digit S/Ls, or low numbered double digits, epecially a low # Insomnia. Would also like to add some more proofs and remarques if the right ones come along. Would like to get another Dameron Waste Lands remarque if someone decides to sell, a few in that series that I really love.

That's it, I'm easy.

I managed to complete my UK first edition collection in 2012...thanks to memebers here who started selling some of the hard to find more expensive firsts. So my US ad UK first edition collections are complete. I was going to start on gift editions but changed my mind and sold all of them (well most, have a couple left for sale and a couple I am keeping). So i think I am going to start on S/L and signed first editions. Start slowly replacing my un-signed firsts with signed firsts. I believe my first purchase for 2013 will be...The Shining S/L and a gift edition possibly.

I also want, but will probably not get due to price....
