I think I have the beginnings of a short story that might be worthy (fingers crossed)
I assume final sale price will be dictated on the overall size of the publication, illustrations etc, but do you have any thoughts on what range you think this might fall to?
I hope members here will be your target market to sell the final publication?

Almost a week since the announcement, how is everyone doing?
SHORT STORY: I plan on submitting a short story as well, and I completed my first half hour of work on it a little earlier today. I don't get a lot of time during the work week to just sit and focus, so my work will primarily be done on the weekends. Earlier during one of my slow periods at work I was able to sketch out the plotline as well as some ideas for little details. And today, during my half hour, I was able to pretty much get the first scene down on paper. Not perfectly written or anything like that, but the first draft of the first scene is done. Yay me!
ANTHOLOGY: At the same time I sketched out the plotline, I also did some mock-ups of the Title page, the Table of Contents page, and the Contributor Biography/Thanks page. Not too shabby. I've sent out the first two batches of submissions to my selections committee. I have not personally read anything yet. Skimmed, yes. Read, no. Oh wait, I take it back, I have read one poem. The first poem we received, and I loved it. Loved loved loved it. And Amber loved it. Haven't heard from Brice yet.
The poem is entitled "Mr. Scratch's Murder Circus", and I'll let the author allow himself to be known at the moment if he wishes. Once July 7th hits, that is when we will make our final decisions as to what is going to be included. Nothing is 100% "in" until then.

Your killing me making me wait that long & I'll be in Croatia too!
Cool project, Shannon, Amber and Brice! I look forward to readin everyone's contributions when this gets published!
Are you not going to have a go Patrick?
Oh, I highly doubt it, Tom. There are much better writers around here than me. I could doodle some stick figures if needed though.
I might've missed this in the initial posting, but say I wanted to submit a story for consideration. Could I do so and get some short feedback before giving my permission to publish?
A NEW GAME BEGINS
Jerome, I'm fair. I'll be using another member's name when I submit it to my staff members for consideration. I, like everyone, would like to know honestly what people think.
Ricky, I would like for all the stories to be "brand new" to the reader's eyes. If I were you and wanted feedback, I would PM a select group of people and ask them, instead of making it public just yet. I won't say that if you publically post it it wouldn't get accepted, but it's something that we would have to think about.

If everything works out as planned I'll start working on my illustration today. I used to draw a lot when I was younger but I haven't really done anything (art-wise) for years and years so it's going to be fun!
Shannon, fear not! I'd be fair. You don't need to try to deceive me. I have no problems rejecting you for your own book if it sucks.
AND to show that I'm a good sport about it I'll even send you a nice personalized (with facsimile signature) copy of our form rejection letter (which is worthy of inclusion in our book) As I understand it these are becoming quite the collectable.
Alan: I'm afraid you're making the rest of us look bad with the superb quality of your artwork.
