I'm not going to name names, but the person who emailed me this image "wins the thread" as far as I'm concerned. I've moved it to our server to protect the innocent:

Back on topic, I really like the "Joyland" map on the back cover. Very helpful in getting a perspective.

I think Tomas said to watch his site in July
Yeah, that's what he said:
JohnI AM planning to release a slipcase for Joyland. I've already got a design in my minds eye, we'll just see if we can translate it into a finished product. As usual, I won't open up any ordering until I have a finished prototype to show you guys & a production ETA. Making a case takes time, so it likely won't be ready until the fall. More details when I have them.
From his newsletter today:

For those that ordered multiple copies of the gift edition; did they ship them individually or pack them into a larger box?

By luck, I just reached Tomas's new newsletter in my inbox and he says:

I think it was interesting that for S/L's and lettered there were different colored "dots".
One white dot on the outside cardboard has the number/letter, a small blue dot on the shrinkwrap of the S/L and on the lettered case designate the number/letter, and on the lettered editions a red dot is on the book.

my lettered had a yellow dot on the shrink-wrap of the tray-case - just saying ...well there was a yellow dot somewhere

Woah, woah, woah, since when is CD planning a Joyland case? Did that totally fly under my radar?
A NEW GAME BEGINS
Correct! It's just a cool little slipcase for the paperback. We found this new material that just happened to have the right colors from the cover, so I think it'll look very nice. We're not taking more orders until they're done, but I'll post a photo as soon as I have one.

I wound up talking with Hardcase about this and they were not overly thrilled with an aftermarket traycase coming out. They felt that the traycase was the main thing separating the lettered edition from the limited editions of Joyland. I'm certainly not out to annoy a publisher of King books so a slipcase it is this time around...Oh and yes since the signed and unsigned editions are the same dimensions , the case will fit both.
Thanks much,
