    A-ma-zing! You know, I have always said that I'm not interested in S/L editions and signed editions (and I'm not, not really) but collections like yours inspired me to rethink my approach to collecting. I used to be a 'completist on a budget', trying to get all of the gift editions (because they're affordable), all of the cheaper proofs, ... But now I'm really focusing on a tight collection in which there's room for what I really like as opposed to what I can afford.

    Yep, my approach to SK Collecting is MUCH tighter and I don't acquire nearly as often as I used to. Rather, I only acquire the "special items" when they surface. Well, special to me anyway....

    As a result, I am much closer to my collection now. More emotionally attached.

    I know, I sound like a FREAK! You guys understand......

It was important that the coating of paint was transparent enough to allow the woodgrain to show through (albeit only a little).

    As for the Plate, well a very good friend within the TDT Family advised me as to where I could get a replacement made and I ordered 3 of them from a local engraving shop in the Northeast. Have two plates left if anyone else needs an extra.

    So, it was a lot of detail work that, off and on, took about 10-12 hours. Probably not a true restoration as described in the "How To" Thread but certainly proud as to how it eventually turned out!

    I was in NY when you put this up for sale at an exceptionally reasonable price.

    Now, I imagine it is worth 10 times more as you have personally restored the box.

    Love this limited edition. One day!!!
