2 King books among the top 10 out of print books

BookFinder.com has just released its list of the 100 most sought-after out-of-print books in America -- and you might be surprised by the findings.
For instance, none other than Madonna tops this year's list with her book Sex. Stephen King occupies two places in the top five. A copy of Cameron Crowe's Fast Times at Ridgemont High comes in at No. 16, and Johnny Cash's Man in Black lands at No. 7.

Really? If I recall, it was especially done for "The Whitney Museum" as a one-shot deal. Very limited Edition and never re-printed (?) anywhere.

There was also the 15000 copy edition issued by Knopf in a slipcase.

Please don't get me wrong, I wasn't questioning the fact he wrote it. I believe them, I just meant this is the first time I'd come across it. Surprise not scepticism.

Sorry John, as usual I defer to the expert, Howver, even so for King that is a somewhat "Limited" edition.

I might agree, except it was an edition that you could buy in stores. That's how I got mine, at B. Dalton's or some place like that.

I'm surprised that My Little Pony is a top sought-after King book. I would think it would be something more substantial, like a first edition of one of his first novels, or The Gunslinger.

My Little Pony

"My Pretty Pony" has great color, and deep observations, though he didn't really develop it. Not that such matters actually much affect marketability. I'm not surprised, myself: it usually is trivia that drives collectors.

"My Pretty Pony" was initially part of an unpublished novel (Machine's Way?) that King was writing. If I remember correctly, it was about George Stark (remember him from The Dark Half?) who was waiting somewhere so that he could perform a hit, remembering some of his childhood.
