The Midnight Mass trailer and teaser struck me as being too on the nose, checking all the boxes of what a creepy show is expected to be - if I didn't already know Flanagan was behind it, I'd be expecting cheese (maybe trailer creation is just becoming cookie-cutter; I don't know).

TV bits
Evil second season. I thought the first season wasn't bad, liked the characters and their stories, and liked the direction of the show to a point. Second season has zero direction and is basically awful.
Kin and AMC
No idea where this will go but it has some familiar faces, good actors, a story about a crime family in Ireland, and the first episode was very good. Might be a good show.
Chapewaite
I like Brody. The acting thus far has been great, the atmosphere I like, the story is slow moving but episode 4 really opened up where this is going. It is so far pretty good.
AHS season 10
I love the atmosphere, the characters are interesting, we will have to see where this show goes because it has been running for too long.
Lisey's Story
The acting was so great. The story I felt was told very well and I loved the atmosphere. This really was a very good show I haven't heard people talk about and HBO did a hell of job with this one.

I agree with you on, Evil and Lisey's Story. I saw the freeview of, Chaplewaite but not beyond, And, Kin/AHS I have not viewed. AHS kinda burned out for me last season I suppose with the whole, Apocalypse story line (?). Just haven't been able to get into recent "Horror" stories in my old age. Too much gore maybe? lol I couldn't agree more on, Lisey's. It is by far my least favorite King novel and I never finished it. However, from what I recall they seemed fairly faithful to the book. It was done very well IMHO though. Far exceeding the source material in large part IMO.

Has anyone been watching American Crime Story: Impeachment? So far, so good (2 episodes in).
Beanie Feldstein seems an odd choice for Monica Lewinksy (she has a totally different presence physically; Beanie is like a foot shorter - but then, I think she's shorter than all of us), but acting-wise she does fine (and it's always good to see Beanie).
Sarah Paulson (as always) is quite good (as well as damn near unrecognizable) as Linda Tripp (although, inevitably, I was disappointed that John Goodman didn't reprise his previous performance).
Taran Killam has a minor role (Paula Jones' husband). What do we make of Taran's dramatic abilities? When he's not being overtly funny, I can't help but remember his carnival robot performance and consequently every ordinary role of his strikes me as hilarious (I literally can't tell if he can act).
This is one of those dramatizations where you realize that, even if they get the facts straight, you have no idea who the actual people were, how good or how manipulative or contemptible they were. Was Monica this naive and desperate? Was Tripp this cynical and manipulative? Were so many of them so shallow? Virtually no character here is sympathetic. Still, it has been entertaining.

Started this new limited series on Netflix and I’m loving it! Very much recommended.
I generally don't like dramatizations of events like this - I prefer documentaries. (O.J. - Made in America vs ACS Season 1). Both are interpretations of events, but at least in a documentary you're seeing direct footage and/or interviews with real people, rather than an actor adding their own interpretation to whatever the writers penned. About the only exception I can think of is Recount, the 2008 film about the 2000 election - but I enjoy it mainly for entertainment value, not necessarily accuracy.

I remember the Lewinsky/Clinton scandal like it was yesterday and have no desire to relive any of that shitshow again.

I enjoyed the acting. However, episode 4 gives a major reveal that I didn't like and reminded me of several shows and movies. I can see one side of the reveal, but then I don't. Not one character calls out the reality of what was going on like everyone lived in a box with no TV or books. I can explain more if someone spoiled the story.

It's next on my list, right after Squid Game which was absolutely phenomenal.
