I remember as the first site was going down in flames, someone quickly started up a collectors email list so we could all stay in contact and find a new home.

I think that completing the series gave a lot of people closure and so they moved on. I think this affected the collecting community as well, and therefore its market softened as well. The ensuing crash of the general economy was unrelated, but certainly had some effect on discretionary spending, also including the collectibles market.

Tdt.net was long ago and far away...a long strang trip for certain. I remember plenty of cool folks and fun times.
