Agreed. Personally I like the look of the guitar on the stand in a nice corner better but hanging it from the wall works equally well.

I do have the stand, it just takes up a fair amount of space even in a corner.
how much was it if you dont mind my asking? its a mint guitar.
Issue price was $3,498. Taylor sold out of them immediately. I bought it secondhand.
Shouldnt it move into the HOW TO subforum?

I don't think so. It's more of a discussion, not instruction. I am open to other opinions.
Does anyone have ANY suggestions on displaying the Stand S/L art portfolio and also the IT s/l art portfolio?

Thats a pretty cool idea. Would love to see end result from anyone who engages Dick to do something like this...
I was looking through my IT portfolio the other day and realised that some of the art seems to be on different quality (thickness) paper. I can't recall details of its release, but does that sound right to others? I think the colour pieces were on thicker paper than the rest.... I mention it as I was unsure if the thinner pieces would display as well (last as long, not discolour etc)
I'm too darn paranoid (and clumsy) to try to display large items like portfolios. I don't think I've even looked at the IT artwork yet, just pictures on the web. I put the artwork and large books on the shelf and just let them be.

im actually talking about how to display the actual portfolio itself not even the art
I am the exact opposite I suppose. In fact, the basis on my friendship with, Dick Olson, is that I wanted to be able to display my LOTR books. If you can't show them off, then what's the point? It became the impetus of the "Dolso Case Editions". I love to point and show them off, but that's just me I guess.

Books upto 14" will fit in the expedit - SOD is in there near bottom right.
Anything larger would have to go on the shelves, tons of space between the top shelf and ceiling.
I like the way your statues are displayed. I wish I had the room to do that.

Cloysterpete, we demand close ups! Start a collection thread if you don't already have one.
I'd like to see it anyway.
I've got various random photos in my photobucket thing taken over the last few years that I can stick up, most are from when I still lived with my folks and had all my books just literally strewn all over the room, I could stick those up for now then when I've finished organising (next up is some more shelves - just small floating ones then I'm putting in another of those expedit units) the place properly I could take some more updated shots in a few months so you can see what it looks like a bit neater.
Nothing overly expensive and all budget shelving etc but hey you just do the best with what you've got right and try to make it look tidy.
I think the Hulk is mad because he lost a King auction on E-bay.
