Stroppy, thanks for sharing the pic! You've got an awesome U/M collection. I still need to add the Reign and Feast lettereds to the collection--the trick is finding them at the right price. Curious as to the differences in slipcase colors. IMO, the red matches the spine of the dust jacket a lot better than the blue. I wonder why the difference?
John, I thought you'd like the proofs, particularly the unbound one. I haven't seen any other unbound CD Shining proofs out in the wild.
Thanks, ur2nd. As everyone knows, half the fun is the hunt.
They are tough to acquire. I appreciate the good wishes!
Thanks, Mike. Hopefully, you had the opportunity to check out the rest of the thread. I've had a blast putting together my collection and have no intention of stopping. It's a terrible addiction.
The Colorado Kid I stumbled on this unusual item on eBay immediately after it was listed for a very reasonable sum and jumped on it. As you can see, it is the trade Potter edition, but had the S/L sheet inserted and not numbered, but signed by all the right folks. I assume this was a promotional item, but I have never seen one before. Does anyone else have one or seen it before? I took the page out of the book and put it in the holder for protection since it was just loosely inserted.
Awesome stuff, Jeff!

That was your lucky day!

I went back a few more pages. Wow is your collection incredible. You have a ton of great, and what look to be rare books. It looks like I have a long way to go. But slow and steady wins the race.
TBH, I don't know how you and other people find some of the stuff you find. A lot of it I have never even heard of before.
VERY VERY VERY nice new Stuff, CONGRATS !!!

Wow, great find!
I picked up a couple of signed proofs recently and was very happy to get these because they are inscribed by King to the Academy Award winning director, Jonathan Demme, who won the Best Director Oscar for The Silence of the Lambs. At one time, Demme was signed on to direct, produce, and write an adaptation of Stephen King's 11/22/63, but later left due to disagreements with King on what should be included in the script. As everyone knows, signed, let alone inscribed association copies, are very tough to come by. Demme passed away in April of 2017 and is survived by his wife, Joanne Howard. Here are photos below:

Oh wow, congratulations. These are really great association copies, and you don’t seem to see many recentish King inscriptions. Nice work
Nice, especially the REVIVAL!

Those are great. Nice to hear the backstory on them. Congrats.

Really cool proofs!
Wanted: Human skin edition of The Book of the Dead. Will accept PC copy.
Thanks all for the very nice comments on my new proofs--it's always nice to share new acquisitions and get feedback. Prior to Christmas, I did not have the opportunity to post my copy of the Dragon Rebound Firestarter. My copy is lettered "O" and I just love the design Paul created. It turned out beautifully:
Speaking of Firestarter, I have always set as an aspirational goal collecting a copy of the Firestarter S/L signed by King on each of the four dates. I decided to make this a goal after seeing a similar set in Bob Jackson's collection and one later offered for sale by David at Betts. I finally acquired the last of the four copies and my set is now complete. Woohoo! I have the following numbers: 93 (July 5, 1980), 163 (July 6, 1980), 503 (July 7, 1980), and 723 (July 8, 1980). The one I just picked up no. 93 below was also signed on a later date by Michael Whelan. Pics of the other copies are posted earlier in the thread. Here you go:
I think I need to get another job (or therapy)--feeding this habit is pricey, but a heck of a lot of fun.
You need therapy all right, but I wish I was as crazy as you are. Great stuff, and hot!

Wow, fantastic Jeff. Having the four dates is a great achievement. Congratulations.
All four dates is awesome. I have one dated the 5th (my birthday), that a kind member traded to me for one with a later date.
Thanks! The chase is half the fun.
Thanks, Paul! Best of all is having the Dragon Rebound version of Firestarter in the collection. You knocked it out of the park!
Thanks, Jerome! This forum is filled with members who help each other out. In large part, it's been through kind members (yourself included) who have helped me grow my collection and acquire some pretty cool books.
Here's the last of the stuff I picked up before Christmas last year:
UK Sleeping Beauty S/L
UK Under the Dome S/L
Inscribed 1st/1st The Dead Zone I love acquiring signatures from the 70s from King, but they are darn hard to find.
Inscribed Stephen King Omnibus I liked this one because it's one you never see signed. While it might not appeal to many, it spoke to me.
That's the end of the line for everything I picked up in the last few months of 2017; however, I've got some really awesome things en route that I'm looking forward to post. I appreciate all the kind words!
Sweet adds, Jeff!
You don't know my kind.....You don't my mind.....Dark necessities are part of my design.....
All great stuff, but you're giving King carpal tunnel syndrome from signing all those books!

That is some kick ass stuff you just posted. Congrats on all your new stuff. The Fire Starter collection from Suntup and your completed set for all 4 dates is also very cool. I have one so far. Maybe I will try to do the same some day. But I have other fish to fry first, and some that are all ready on the pan. But that's a great list you just posted.
Fantastic additions, and I love those inscriptions. (That omnibus spoke to me too, and I had my eye on it for a long while as well). Congratulations.
