Thanks!Love the hat!
Bought it in Jackson Hole on our USA tour back in '09. My wife hated how I wore it everywhere on the trip. I love it.

Those glass doors do add a lot of class to the books for some reason. I've always liked bookcases with glass doors.
I'm sure if there is intelligent life somewhere out there in the universe, they are wise enough to stay away from us.
And the people bowed and prayed, to the cell phone god they made...
And a statue by Rachel.

"A real limited edition, far from being an expensive autograph stapled to a novel, is a treasure. And like all treasures do, it transforms the responsible owner into a caretaker, and being a caretaker of something as fragile and easily destroyed as ideas and images is not a bad thing but a good one...and so is the re-evaluation of what books are and what they do that necessarily follows." - Stephen King
Your carpenter did a great job, Eric.
That's going to look mighty fine in your pantry, becca. You're going to use it to store dry goods, yes?

I really love the new bookcase, Becca!
Thank you!
Wanted: Human skin edition of The Book of the Dead. Will accept PC copy.
I would love to get a couple of those myself. They remind me of those barrister-style (is that the word?) bookcases that Bob has, but slightly more basic and modern-looking. We're looking to buy a house once our baby boy is born in April, and I hope to finally be able to set up a small library/office in a separate room. These would be perfect for that!

Really? That's pretty awesome... (and I clearly don't know much about these things )
They are actually quite collectible in their own right and can be very expensive. I got this one for 1/2 the price of what they usually sell for so I was happy. I'm still looking for another one. There is also a company that sells original parts so I was able to get a new knob for the middle shelf. If I had more room (and money), I would do what Bob has done

Me, too -- especially since I see some free shelf space up on the upper floor. I haven't seen free shelf space in my office/library for a very long time.
