I've noticed on ebay UK that pretty much worthless book club editions of IT have been selling for around Ł20/$26. I too think it's because of the upcoming movie.
I love my IT limited.........then again, i probably would say the same about all my others!!!!
I bought a gift edition of this as a leaving present for my boss a few years ago, from amazon, and because it had a horrendous sticker on the slipcase they refunded the whole amount and said keep the book!! Still gave ot to him, bet he doesnt know what he has value wise now!!!
These limiteds are soaring in price at the moment.

You guys really think this IT s/l is going to hold 2,000? I can't see it happening. Not many people out there are going to pay that price. I see it dropping back down to 1,250-1,500.

"A real limited edition, far from being an expensive autograph stapled to a novel, is a treasure. And like all treasures do, it transforms the responsible owner into a caretaker, and being a caretaker of something as fragile and easily destroyed as ideas and images is not a bad thing but a good one...and so is the re-evaluation of what books are and what they do that necessarily follows." - Stephen King
I see no reason why this won't hold or go a bit higher. The movie hype should continue for some time. They are going to be two movies so it shouldn't drop after the first movie is released. By that time prices will probably have held for a couple of years, long enough to establish a new market price. Also I could argue that IT has become more popular than The Stand. The Stand S/L is consistently over 2k with 1250 signed copies compared to IT's 750 signed copies. I think the demand on this overly popular book combined with the lower print run is going to keep this at a premium. Also people searching for and not being able to obtain a S/L is going to keep the Gift Edition market healthy as well.
Until the economy collapses again.
