Very nice Jon! I look forward to this new line of King exploration on your part.
Part two of my Rose Red package arrived today - it consists of two blueprints of Rose Red. There is probably one for the first floor floating around somewhere. I wonder what these were used for - promos or help for the filming crew to visualize the setting?

That's real damn cool! How do you plan to display them, if at all?
Thanks Jeremy. I've never seen these before.
Thank you, Brian.
Thanks Dan. I don't have the wall space to frame them, so they will probably remain in the tube and I'll take them out periodically to look at. They're pretty big -- large poster size.
AMAZING !!!

If you have the time and can read the script as it was filmed, I would read first since you have the rare opportunity to do that. The story was great, but it is of course tv acting, soooo not exactly stellar performances. I remember reading The Diary of Ellen Rimbauer before the miniseries and being super excited. I don't think I ever read The Journals of Ellen Rimbauer.

Thanks Frank.
Thanks Kris. I love these obscure promo items.
Thanks Dez.
Thanks Chad.
Sounds like a good idea. I'll add it to the list of books to read. Screenplays can be a bit tough going to read sometimes but as I am not familiar with the story it should be interesting.
That's SUPER impresive!

Many, many years ago, I think the first book I read, off my own back for enjoyment, was H.G. Wells' The War Of The Worlds. Since that day it has remained one of my favorite stories and I've been a little bit obsessed with related products ever since. I noticed a few weeks ago in Waterstones that a new sequel to The War of the Worlds had been written by Stephen Baxter, authorized by the H.G. Wells estate, and is titled The Massacre Of Mankind (released in the US on 08/22/17, 7 months after the UK). Previously, he had already written a sequel to The Time Machine for the H.G. Wells estate called The Time Ships. I am only half way through reading the story and I am really enjoying it, as it has been written in the same style as Wells.
I also remember my Dad buying Jeff Wayne's The War of the Worlds Musical in the late seventies -- absolutely loved it and even now I periodically listen to it. I have bought a few versions of the CD, each time they add a few more tracks or re-record it!
Unfortunately, there has never been a worthy movie or TV adaptation of the book.
Some of my War of the Worlds collection (Books, Collector's edition of the Musical and The Orson Welles Radio broadcast).

That's very cool Jon. Congratulations. What a responsibility that must have been to write a sequel to such a classic.
