There is no ISBN number on the back of the jacket. Where it should be is blank.

He had all the other indicators, numberline, price on DJ, CP inscription. Hmmm, did I screw up? Messaged him 3 or 4 times with Q & A

I've also worked with Keith a number of times and found him to be very trustworthy, but the lack of the ISBN on the back of the jacket worries me.

IT is hard to find, but dead zone is even harder! Every copy of IT and dead zone I bought on ebay was worse than the one I was trying to replace, descriptions never matched quality. same goes for gunslinger 3.

I just bought one from ebay and it is on it's way. Allegedly in as new condition. I will eventually sell my copy. Mine is at least F/F. I do want to re-wrap the jacket because there might be a small flaw on the jacket but I won't know until I wrap it again. When I get the new one I can PM you if you are still looking.
Also, I'm looking too for a Dead Zone. I bought one that was damn close to VF, but had some minor fading on the binding and some whiting on the corners of jacket. I sold it though. To me, if I'm going to collect it and store it in a bookcase, it should be VF/VF. Anal.....I know.

Ebay is such a roll of the dice. I made a mistake, once, listing a book without looking it over like I normally wood. Live and learn. I sometimes get so upset with sellers on Ebay that I'd send a 5.00 book back just on principle. The worst is when you ask a question, they answer to your satisfaction, and the book is a damn BCE. Send it back and rewash lol.

Is this the Viking Repress or the boxed set Grant version. I have found the Viking represses to often times be in horrible condition. I am not sure if that's because they weren't made well or what but I have seen a bunch that are in awful shape.

I LOOKED for like over 2 years for a mint IT, and Dead Zone... IT was harder and it wasn't until David at Bett's listed that IT collection and there was 5 PERFECT copies... I grabbed one for $50. Worth every penny. I wished I had bought them all to be honest!

So interesting. I just assumed it was my luck at the moment. I thought it would be easy to find a good example. Strange that so many of this title are in crappy condition. Perhaps it would be a good idea to grab good copies whenever I come across one as one's in good shape could be even harder to come by in the future. I shot David at Betts an email to see if he has one.

Actually, in my opinion, it's not strange at all. Contrary to what a book collector may believe, not everyone buys a copy just to put on a shelf to collect. It didn't take the world long to figure out IT was a masterpiece. Therefore, the copies we see beat up, are in fact just well read and loved. The same goes for The Dead Zone.

Agreed as well my friend. Well said. IT should be priced much higher I think. Especially cause of the love for the book (thus read and not "collected") AND its so big.. so the spines on most are in rough shape...

I bought my NF copy of IT in a second hand book store for $3.

It certainly isn't easy to find in pristine condition.

I do understand it was popular and read most are well read but still with as many printed I would have thought many would survive in better shape. It certainly doesn't seem like that is the case though. I have actually found that most Viking books seem to end up well worn. When looking for an Eyes of the Dragon I noticed tons of them in poor shape as well and the DT represses as well. David did happen to find me one in excellent shape though so I at least have that covered for now.

    I know. Thanks.

It turns out that the seller was our own AKC. I just closed the deal with him.

Rep points coming your way and also for AKC hooking a brother up.
