That's the Kindle Edition, Paperback is also there, but with a different cover. (always confusing when a publisher keeps using the same ISBN for their reprints)

I'm pretty confident that I will stay away from getting into that in any serious way. There are just too many.

Well, the previous french edition of EYES OF THE DRAGON have nice illustrations (I prefer those illustrations to the new ones).

The publisher is doing a real communication around those EYES OF THE DRAGON, and there are excerpts given away at bookstores. What is interesting is that even the excerpt has the same effect on the cover, which makes it look like dragon skin (you cant see it properly on the following picture as it is a scan)
