So, I guess we're not supposed to talk about a certain subject anymore?
Yes we can talk about a certain subject. See my post at the end of the Jeff Conner - Scream/Press thread.
The thread will be unlocked shortly.
Not sure where to post this so feel free to move.
We lost David in April 2011. The driver survived. David, after some months in intensive care, did not.
It was Davids birthday yesterday. As a birthday wish we wanted to post a Celebration of Life and let him know how much we miss him so several nights ago I spent all night putting a movie together (my first! – what a chore).
The first one I put together uses a No Doubt song and is longer and less choppy – you can view the videos as they were originally shot. Although I love the song the lyrics are not really spot-on.
After the first version was done, I had a Slap the Forehead V8 moment and realized Green Day had a song with the exact perfect lyrics - its exactly what we want to say to David (Green Day inspiration from GD Fans one of my Quasi Kids and Patrick, too). This second version is a shorter version and uses clips versus the full videos.
Im posting both here. Watch the GD version first – then if you want to see the full videos of Death Tube and Tandem Skiing watch the No Doubt one.
At the end of the movie is a still of David – the kids mentioned it’s easy to miss so Im pointing it out.
Happy Birthday David
Man we miss you

Haha yes it was, I'm on the train home from Brighton at the moment with lots of books, I fear Nicola won't be happy :-)
So sorry to hear of your loss, TN. I don't think any of us knew. I know I didn't. Beautiful tribute. God bless you and your family.
Wow! My wife is going to be doubly mad at me today. Beer is flowing and ordered a number of books today. Maybe Bomber can come over and calm her down. She is a sucker for big eyes.
What is life like in the USA / Canada? (ok this is a WIDE question).
But moneywise, what is the minimum/average wage? Working hours? Time-off work....?

This is a very broad question. Without any research I believe there are seven (7) US holidays per year. The average wage is $50,000 (very generally speaking) and the hours are Monday through Friday about 45 hours per week. Time off is per employer but in my field (construction management) two weeks paid per year after the first year of employment is standard. This is all very general info however and I would expect, depending on expertise, location, and expertise, this could certainly vary.
That's terrible. Thankfully we Europeans have many weeks holiday and a 36 hour week.
