Bob
what a crazy story!!
Wow!
Wow, Bob. You really must find a better crowd with which to associate.
"...that Siren which called and sang and promised so much and gave, after all, so little." ~ Ray Bradbury
"So many vows. They make you swear and swear. Defend the King, obey the King, obey your father, protect the innocent, defend the weak. But what if your father despises the King? What if the King massacres the innocent? It's too much. No matter what you do, you're forsaking one vow or another."
I set it up, he knocks it out of the park.

I purchased "The Last Adventurer" published by Grant on a whim, and learned rather accidentally that the dust jacket art was done by Ned Dameron. On the inside flap, I learned that he also did the art for "Talbot Mundy: Messenger of Destiny". This means that:
- Grant's list of works by Dameron is incomplete (I knew this was true but was working from the assumption that only the Talisman was missing.)
- My mini-collection of "Books published by Grant and illustrated by Ned Dameron" isn't quite as nearly complete as I thought, and
- There might be more books out there I don't know about.
Such is the collector's life, I suppose.
I agree with you, and I'm excited about the research that I get to do. I just like to complain.
Still about my previous thoughts about money vs happiness : regarding a job interview that i have on monday.
Well, a good friend recommended me a website with financial informations about that company and... well, it doesnt look very good. So, i guess that if i have chances to get laid off in 6 months, i should go to the other companies, if they make a reasonable offer!

I heard Comic Con was so packed you could barely move. Definitely interested in seeing pics!
Awesome, Ari. Totally jealous. Did you attend any panels?
A NEW GAME BEGINS
I attended only one panel...I wasn't very interested in attending them but walk through the Exhibitor hall and check signings. I made more than I could dream of!

Whaaattt, not interested in panels!? I've never been, but I would imagine that's where I would want to be. Especially the Firefly panel. Mmmmmm firefly .... mmmm.
From all the pics I've seen online, it certainly looked pretty epic. (Especially when Captain Jack met Captain Mal - holy shit, that must've been awesome!) Believe me, I would've killed for the chance to have gone, more than anything for the full screening of Dredd 2 months before its release. The panel looked fun too - saw a clip on youtube of Urban doing an impersonation of Stallone!

Holy shit!!!
Batman US cinema shooting: Fourteen dead in Denver
Jesus. Very, very sad to hear of such horrific and tragic news, especially on a day that so many have looked forward to.

Ari
your pics with Joe Hill look great!!!
It's absolutely sickening. I'm going to the movie tonight, and I'm sure I'll have to go through a metal detector. I don't have a problem with that, personally, but it's just sad that you can't even go to a movie without having to fear for your safety. I wish I could understand what could possibly go through someone's head to do something like that.
