Haha I can see your point, I am planning on selling a load of artwork/books to partly fund it. The next task is to steal her ring for the measuring tomorrow ... This is all very scary!
Or you could (if she's a light sleeper) while she sleeps wrap a piece of paper or string around her finger, measure it, and have her ring size and her ring isn't missing at all so she has no reason to question it.

I have booked a table for sunset on the island restaurant where we are staying in Croatia ... The Villa Ruza ... but when are you supossed to propose? The start of the meal, during or after .. i honestly have no idea!
Personally I would do it at the beginning of the meal however it really should be whatever feels right for you. Good luck.
Tell the waiter to put an expensive bottle of champagne on ice. Do this by phone before you go to the restauraunt. Propose to her at the start and the waiter brings the champers in.
The best bit about this; she will be to happy to eat a lot, thus you save some money to pay for the champaigne.
