Perry is very under estimated. The guy is a MONSTER guitar player. Of course, Slash rocks as well. Still Perry' catalog has got to give him the edge as far as stature. Too bad, Slash had Axel to weigh him down after awhile. Must have been an awesome show though. Did they perform together at some point?
They did not play together the other night But I did see them together at a private show at the topless pool at the Mirage, It was awesome seeing them both play off of each other Besides you can't get more rock 'n roll than All the guys from guns and roses, a couple from Aerosmith and cheap trick playing together at a topless pool in Vegas. Joe is excellent and a nice guy but I still stand by my statement that/has that one up

I don't think the buyer would consider it a "collectible". I'm sure he/she would consider it an investment.

I am not so sure about it. Investment would require wanting to sell it, while there are probably ~ 2000 people on earth that can definitely afford a higher price than that...

    Because:
    1. You don't run the site and thus don't make the decisions.
    2. The Florida event details, and the numerous attendees are confirmed.
    3. It would be ridiculous and in fact stupid to have 7+ countdowns.
    4. You haven't provided the HTML code for an Austin countdown.
    5. It pisses you off, so other members enjoy a small pleasure from that.
I'm sure there are more reasons.

The no money down price works out to be 14.5 cents per Kw. Where I am at, the sun shines 90%+ in daytime.

One of those "JESUS DIED FOR YOUR SINS, SHARE AND SAY AMEN! IN THE COMMENTS!" posts popped up on my Facebook feed today, with tons of people responding "YES!" and "AMEN JESUS!" on it. I couldn't help myself. This was my response:

"I just have to make something clear, in case you guys didn't know it ... You know how most people think Scientology and/or cults and/or the Westboro Baptist Church are a bunch of idiots and sheep and followers? Like ... how is it POSSIBLE that there are actually people that believe whole-heartedly in this OBVIOUS bullshit? Right? Well, that's what I and quite a lot of other people think about you. Believe what you want, whatever makes you happy, it makes no difference to me ... but honestly, you're all fucking crazy."

    ... this should be fun.

Is the intent to supplement or to power the entire house? Back when I was a homeowner I looked into this. The cost plus maintenance cost did not provide me with a return on my investment until around year 35. I did not account for inflation.

Either way congrats on the purchase.

I don’t think I have room to fit even a single planet in my house let alone an entire solar system.

X2 the question about whole house or supplemental...?? Don't know if I'd consider it 'Kool-aid'. With the quakes & possible loss of power you guys get, it makes sense to me.

Did you have a company figure the amount needed, design and install it? or are you doing the majority of it yourself?

PM if you'd prefer not discussing on here......

The system will provide 900 Kw per month. That is far below my usage. Last month we used 2,815 kw. In the winter it's far less.
Our public utility (PG&E) charges 14.1 cents per Kw for the first ~500 Kw. The price quickly escalates to 31 cents per kw, then to the highest tier of 35 cents per kw. The 900 kw the system supplies is 35 cents per Kw cheaper than PG&E. .35x900=$315.00. We lease the system for $131 per month (zero down). My net savings last month had I had the system online would have been $184.

Interesting. I hadn't heard of a lease option. Since they are leasing you the equipment will they handle all service issues? Sounds like a fairly good deal to me and I'm assuming during a power outage you would still have the availability of the energy produced from the panels. Cool!

They own and maintain the panels. 20 year lease.
Yes there would be some power during a daytime power outage. There are no batteries here, so at night-time, I would be in the dark like everyone else.

EDIT: My mistake. Because the system is tied into the grid, if the grid goes down, there is no backup power, even during the daytime. Sorry for that screw-up.
