Thanks for posting that Koontz interview. I enjoyed watching it. And yeah, what a library he has. Will have to pause it on the close up shots to look at the books! I think that hallway is the one where he keeps all his foreign editions if I'm not mistaken. I read something about that in a print interview. And the house looks pretty amazing too. He supposedly still responds to all letters personally. I'm getting Saint Odd inscribed (via Bad Moon Books) for my wife's and my 15th anniversary. If you've read Odd Thomas, you know what it'll say.
Didn't know about him supposedly responding to letters... I ordered Saint Odd through B&N as they were selling signed copies... Nice that you're getting an inscribed copy! He lives a few minutes from me and does these private signings at a local bookstore once a year or so. The last time he did it I got about 10 books signed. Oh, and Happy Anniversary!

Landed a new part-time job (in addition to my other job) that seems pretty cool. I represent lenders and I perform inspections for construction loans and personal construction lines of credit. Pretty interesting gig and there is some decent money in it if I can stay busy. Fingers crossed that this becomes a little more than it is now.

Are you saying that there are no "no-go" zones? Or are you saying that the map of the zones is incorrect?
The whole thing is just utter bullshit. And the videos are footage from the 2005 riots.
Some places may be a bit dodgy, but nothing as bad as described as you can still go through there without real trouble. Just seeing loads of people, and many other asking you if you want ao buy an iphone or anything.

On a lighter note, I got an email about this book. I bought this signed copy last year and read it. It was a really interesting read for book collectors. I'd recommend it.
Terrible f'n day. In several hours, my ultimate football nightmare will be realized. Do I root for a team I've been raised to oppose, the biggest/oldest rivalry in the sport, or the team I despise for cheating for three rings and getting to pose as a dynasty with the most overrated quarterback of all time? Yeah, that's true. It kinda drives me nuts when they try to run the clock. GB had a lead with just over two minutes and they ran the ball 3 times!!! They get a first down or two and the game is over!!! I think the coach may be to blame for this debacle then anyone else. They did kinda fall apart at the end. Damn shame for GB fans. I hope that guy, Boston doesn't live near the stadium in GB!!! LOL

They get a first down or two and the game is over!!! I think the coach may be to blame for this debacle then anyone else. They did kinda fall apart at the end. Damn shame for GB fans. I hope that guy, Boston doesn't live near the stadium in GB!!! LOL
The coach definitely played conservative... Probably a little too conservative. I have a few friends who have been calling for his head all season, and even more so now. That boggles my mind. How could you get that upset with a coach who is incredibly successful year after year, and today almost has them in the Super Bowl?!
Well, sometimes you can be a little too conservative. The fact is that's not only McCarthy who does this sort of thing regularly. It seems like all NFL coach's choose this method and the "Prevent" defense way too much. I'm just upset I suppose, for some non-rational reason I really don't like, Seattle. I'll get over it and take my grandson to the park on "Super Sunday"!!! LOL
