Yes, Brian is spot on point. The DMG "Books" are amazing, but the case? Maybe they were trying someone new, but it seems like my copy (GE) and just about every other edition/copy I have seen pics here regarding, has that slight "Bow" in the middle, which for some reason drives me crazy. Overall, it is a great production, except for that apparent flaw.
Perhaps, I chose the word "terrible" badly in my initial post. It's just the case I have an issue with, to a degree.

The Houston Astros cheated Major League Baseball from 2017-18!!!! Is that how we teach our kids to play the game now?????
Sky, yours is in pretty good shape so far, but I wouldn't be surprised if the "bowing" showed later. You can see the early stages on the left side of your picture. Very slight so far. I wonder if previous owners inadvertently stored in an inappropriate manner, not knowing, of course. Tell me I am confused and I will go away, but it seems to me that I have seen a large amount of these books with the same characteristics as I have described. Just maybe not yours, Sky (yet).

The cases are very thin so I can see why, say, if you have books stacked on top for long periods of time or if, when you remove the books you stick your fingers in between the case and the books instead of letting them fall out. That might lead to the excessive bowing you're talking about. I've had this since I bought it from Grant in 1984 and it's one of my favorite S/L's.
Maybe what you suggest is the issue. They are a little more "flimsy" than is usual and I am not the original owner. I bought my copy sometime after the initial release. Still, my original suggestion stands, if you have one of these "bowed" cases, "Dolso" may be a viable solution. I for one am considering it.

I love the Dolso cases and I hope to own some in the future but I don't think books that already have slipcases/traycases should also have a Dolso case. Just an opinion.
The one thing that has always bothered me about my Talisman Limited is that the two books are not exactly the same size so they are not flush when all the way into the case (see pic at the top where the two books meet the case).
I have a really nice first edition of the original edition of The Stand. Both book and dustjacket are in near fine condition. Really tight binding and I believe it has never been read. Only flaw i can find at all is some fading to King's name on the spine of dustjacket. Reason for selling - is a duplicate copy. Am seeking $325 plus shipping. I will email photos to anyone interested. Thanks, Paul

Sold the DT painting guys... I think. But want to let you all know. AND to say this... anyone notice there is not much good King stuff for sale lately? Bett's has been a little slow (other than the Candy Store) and not much on here. We all watch Ebay but not much on there either... Am I just on glue here or anyone else agree?
