sorry would have posted in cemetery dance section but thought would be better here for anyone shopping. CD now has a very limited book of horrors for sale in conjunction with PS pub for our friends in the UK. king will be signing the leatherbound.
Wayyyy too expensive for me and would rather save the money for some nice 1st editions!

I had no idea there would be a signed edition and I agree, it's very expensive.
*edit 01: by the way, I'm pretty sure I ordered the trade edition but I can't remember when or where and I can't find it in my inbox.
*edit 02: found it. I ordered a copy from Amazon.co.uk for £15, I had no idea it would be $60 from the publisher.
Wow. I am sure it will be worth a great production, but it is pricey.
I think I'm done with collecting King anthologies in limited editions. I'm sorry but this is nothing more than milking the collector. There is nothing about that book (other than the artificial scarcity) that warrants a $1k price tag, it's simply gouging.
I believe that I am going to officially call it quits on collecting any King signed anthologies. Look for what I currently own to show up in the classifieds soon.
I already DON"T collect them.
Wish List:
Any of the following flatsigned or inscribed-
It, Shining, Salem’s Lot, Mr. Mercedes, The Stand
Brother ARC, Seed ARC
A bit too pricey for me. I also ordered the trade edition from Amazon.co.uk. Does anyone have the link from the publisher regarding the signed copy? I'm curious as to how many copies are being done.
John
<edit> I just read the CD thread that states 100 copies are being done. It's still too pricey for me.
John
But you also have to take out the contributor copies so i think there are 83 for the public!?
Ya i guess only 83 are being sold too the public. I guess i see why so expensive if they have to pay each person. but really Kings siggy is the one im sure there paying the prettiest penny for! i think the "IT" lettered edition for $2000 was a worse gouge as they only have one author to pay. but im sure it will be a sweet book, so if you have the doe, why not.
Free, just pay shipping:
The Girl Who Loved Tim Gordon
Nightmares & Dreamscapes
Needful Things
Insomnia (first edition with full # line but no price on DJ)
All first editions, all fair condition. I'd say 'fair' is a moderate guess. Typical used bookstore condition except these came from a private collection. These will ship from Canada. I'd say $40-50 to US, same ammount overseas via surface mail.
I could trade these in for $10-12 but I'm in a giving mood. Someone jump on this.
Who says you can't get things for free these days!
What an awesome deal We DealInLead.
I hope these go to a good home.
More free stuff:
Neil Gaiman - The Last Temptation, Murder Mysteries
These 2 are hardcover graphic novels.
This however is a paperback:
Alan Moore - Albion
In my post above I mentioned an approximate shipping charge. If it came to less, I'd refund the change.
I'm just cleaning out stuff I have doubles of, have read a bunch of times or can never see myself reading.
WDIL - "Dead Sea" is in the mail. Any chance I can get "Nightmares & Dreamscapes" or "Needful Things" in exchange?
Damn.. anything thinner? Or cash? One of those is around $20 to ship.
Sorry; no big deal.

You know, I went to my night shift last night feeling like an ass. I tried to respond but I couldn't get online - idiot before me disconnected it and only a supervisor can log back on. Anyways, I wanted to say I'll send whichever one you'd like. It's only money. PM with the title and I'll get it out as soon as I can.
The giveaways are a great idea. Should we create a dedicated thread? I have some books that I could try to sell but I'd be just as happy to give them away. You only pay shipping (actual cost) from The Netherlands.

Is this for sale or ???
'Salem's Lot US 1st/1st (book only). In pretty good condition but has extensive writing by a previous owner on the endpapers.
I sent you a PM, Killbourne.
To clarify (for those of you who are wondering): I tried to sell this 'Salem's Lot 1st/1st edition copy and although there was some interest I've had no takers so far. I have a 2nd state ('Father Cody') DJ that goes with it but it looks like it will be easier to just sell the DJ and give away the book. If there's a kind soul who's prepared to pay a small sum for the book I'll still be happy to sell of course but frankly, I don't mind giving someone here the opportunity to own a true 1st edition of a scarce and important King book for free + shipping costs.
