I don't think I have ever seen a 1st edition of The Gunslinger still sealed in original shrinkwrap.

Do I keep it or sell it?

And if I keep it, do I remove the shrink?

I've got a Gunslinger 1st in the original shrinkwrap. I have no plans to remove the shrinkwrap from mine.

Not a highly praised book, but I just ordered the Life in the Cinema PC Lettered w/Traycase for $150 from Gauntlet. It was a special discount from their newsletter. Seems like a good price for a King signed lettered edition, even if it is a PC copy.

Man, I just posted the newest addition to my DMG collection yesterday, and there are already two more DMG books posted that I'll probably never have (or they'll be among the last ones I add, probably in thirty years or so). I think the only recovery I can make is to brag that I bought 6 Desperation gift editions on Abebooks for $1.07 each (the first two have already arrived, so I know they weren't just listed wrong).

Yeah, obviously ... I mean no one would ever rewrap a book, right? And there's no way it could have interior damage from the publisher, or even a missing signature! I thknk unless I was the original buyer and had receipts to show it, I'd open it. I know I wouldn't buy a sealed one. JMO.

I need the S/L, but will pick one up when I find a (preferably) single digit or double digit copy for the right price. Yes, yes, I know, no difference at all between #2, #20 and #200 ... but It is what it is, and that's what my little collecting devil likes. Well, he really likes letters too but I've got to keep him in check .... little bastard would deplete my checking account in a heartbeat if I let him.

This purchase was made quite a while ago, around the same time everyone else was buying these when they were available. I just got a round to getting it framed, picked it up a couple days ago, I think it came out quite nice but I may be a bit biased......
