BTW bottom right in the traycase is a 900+GB custom-made external harddrive that has the Ebook, short films, additionl artwork, and other goods.
It looks kind of cheesy to me. What is the book quality like? Any Illustrations?

I will post more pics later. I will need to open the book to see if there was artwork in the interior. I have a feeling that there isn't but I could be wrong.

I guess shipping costs to Australia, make it necessary to bundle a lot of books and ship them together in one package.

    Oops! I knew that!

Still valid reason for bundling items for shipping.

I got #27 of "The Talisman" S/L by Straub and King today. I paid $600 for it on ebay, shipping was another $50, but sadly I was stung by custom charges of $150 so all in all it ended up costing me $800, way over budget, but it's a book I've wanted to own for a long time, and a realtively low number so I'm pleased with that. Not sure if I went way over value or if I'm still within range of the price it's worth??
but I'm happy with it - just pissed off about the customs charges.

Also picked up a signed Gift Edition of "Insomnia" - I wasn't sure whether to go with the gift edition or the S/L but I found a signed Gift not much less than cost of a S/L but with intriguing inscription by King so went with that. So those are my two new King pieces and overall am happy with them.

    Thanks!

This isn't King-related but I also picked up a signed first edition of Ira Levin's "A Kiss Before Dying" (his first novel) from 1953. My grail goal is still a signed first of "Rosemary's Baby" but this was unexpected and a bargain, only $13.49 plus similar price for international shipping, so the whole thing came to $26.59 - but for a first signed from 1953 this is a STEAL in my opinion even if the condition of the book is not great. I rarely grab a bargain so was chuffed with this.

    Three short stories.

Latest box of books from Tim Lebbon.

I posted the Lebbon books in my collection so as not to clutter up this thread.

Ok that's me hiding my credit card for the next year - no more purchases! I just got another grail item - a signed Dorothy Parker book. The condition is not good and I probably paid too much but I've wanted a signed Dorothy Parker for awhile. (Still looking for a signed Agatha Christie.) Don't suppose there are any Dorothy Parker experts here? It's double signed but I'm a bit confused about the number on the edition.

Not yet! I need to start one. I also need to buy a proper bookcase. I'm kind of a rogue hit-and-miss skin of the teeth pseudo-collector. I'm not sure when I reach proper "collector" status. Ok I'll go start a collector thread with the photos of the Dorothy Parker to start with!

I think my first proper King collectable - not including perhaps older 1st editions I bought new at the time when I was a teenager - was a signed "Bag of Bones" US 1st. It arrived soiled and the seller refunded me half the price. I got it for less than $50 I think in the end. To date still remains the cheapest King signed I ever got. My first S/L was "From A Buick 8" (I think). What was yours?
