Nice list, but it doesn't come close to reflecting my own. Francis Ha at 9. LOL.
I loved Inside Llewyn Davis, but it's not one of the top 10 films of the decade so far.

Dogtooth as number 25, yessssssssss.
Surprised to see The Master at 13 tbh. I personally love that film, but the general consensus is that it is not one of PTA's best, let alone one of the best of the last 5 years. Happy to see it there though.
Haven't seen Under The Skin yet, a bit surprised to see it land so highly at No. 7
Boyhood at No. 1 !!

I don't know about 7 but it's up there.
Is there a television thread too or is that something people talk about here? Such as new shows or ones that are currently running, curious.
I watched "Jaws" today. Anyone ever see it? lol
I forgot to mention "The Imitation Game." 8/10. Overall it was great and Cumberbatch or Keaton (Birdman) should get the Oscar for best actor.

I forgot "Foxcatcher" too. 7/10. I will say the 3 main male characters were very good but Ruffalo stole the show. However, the movie was a bit boring to me. And guess what? I used to wrestle too.

General Television Discussion
Not Eddie Redmayne?
I'm not picking on anyone. I started writing this short comment and it turned into a rant about the idiots running the Oscars. I do love the ending of my rant.
I thought Eddie did a real good job for "The Theory of Everything." But I don't want to watch a story about Hawking's personal life. I wanted to watch what he accomplished for society as he is close to being the next Einstein. It was a sad story watching him from start to finish becoming who he is today and that's the problem with the Oscars. They give awards for the wrong reasons. They give awards for people being sick, or dying, or sad stories. It's like almost an automatic win for an Oscar. Say Hawking dies before the Oscars, then Eddie will get the Oscar just because of Hawking's death. The idiots have done it before and continue to do it over and over. People raved Keaton's best performance ever was in "Bidrman." Maybe, but he captivated me. He's been around for awhile and Eddie is a newer younger guy and the Oscars tend to give awards to whom they want. Example. Jaime Fox in "Ray." I hate it when these actors win awards for playing a drunk, a retard, and a musician. Fox won because Ray Charles died. I knew when Ray died it was over, Fox won. I thought he did a good job, but playing a blind musician should be much easier just wondering around with someone holding your hand all day, and let's be honest, Jaime Fox is absolute garbage. That was Johnny Depp's award for "Finding Neverland" and he didn't get it. Fixed! I'm not picking on the blind, just stating the obvious.
Or when Forest Whitaker won the award for "The Last King of Scotland" which I thought the movie was a bore and didn't even go through the actual monstrous person Amin truly was. When the real winner was obviously Leonardo DiCaprio in "Blood Diamond." People were saying he nailed the African accent so well, that it was as if he was a real native and that having that accent was next to impossible to mimic. And "Blood Diamond" was actually a captivating movie. I hated Leonardo. He was this child heart throb guy, but when I saw that movie, he immediately became my man crush. That is a real actor and he nailed it and he got screwed. So the Oscars, well, don't hold much weight for me.
Let's not forget Scorsese not getting best director for "Raging Bull" and "Goodfellas" while losing to "Ordinary People" and "Dancing with Wolves." Come on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yet he won for "Departed"?! Yeah it was a pretty damn good movie but nothing like the other two that should have won. Sorry, but the Oscars are ran by idiots.
I don't sugar coat anything and I'm not going to feel sorry for anyone if they keep on poking that hornet nest. I'll just point and say, "Told yeah not to do that."

The Houston Astros cheated Major League Baseball from 2017-18!!!! Is that how we teach our kids to play the game now?????
I hope they never remake Jaws as I know they never would ever get it right or even close to the amazing original. However, I think a great life and death story about the U.S.S Indianapolis would have so much potential to be a great shark movie. About people working together (for once), battling the hardships of the ocean and the threat of being eaten by sharks.

Jaime Foxx won for Ray because it was the best performance of the ones nominated. He was great as Ray Charles and truly transformed himself for that role. It has nothing to do with Ray Charles dieing. I also don't agree that Jaime Foxx is garbage. I loved him in Django Unchained and he was also very good in Collateral. Sure, he's made some odd choices, but all actors do.
I have a lot of problems with the Oscars, we could go on forever about the unforgivable choices they've made (Saving Private Ryan losing to Shakespeare in Love is one that bugs me the most), but they've also gotten in right a lot too. Pulp Fiction losing to Forrest Gump is another. Perhaps this Oscar discussion would be best fit to be in our Oscar discussion thread, because it's an interesting topic that I could go on about all day.
The other thing we have to remember is that the Academy is a "good 'ole Boys" club comprised of mostly actors. The two examples you gave of Scorsese losing for Raging Bull and Goodfellas, he lost to two actors who were directing. Kevin Costner in Dancing with Wolves and Robert Redford for Ordinary People. That can't be overlooked.
Oscar will always feel a little unfair. Hell, Hitchcock never won an Oscar.

For me it was "Blood Diamond" that really stood out and changed my perception of Leo. I did like his performance as Howard Hughes, but all his movies recently have been impressive to me. Someone that plays different characters and can act. To be honest, not many people can do that these days. Many actors seem to be the same person in their roles and aren't real actors.

Oh man, I just finally got around to watching Sharknado. I don't know what took me so long to watch this gem of a film
i think they wanted to make him more like the justice league animated bad ass version
I think he looks good. Badass Aquaman was a theme in the comics, too, sometimes. I do miss the blonde hair, though: Color is psychologically important in relation to comic book characters. Take away that, on top of giving him a dangerous edge, plus the slight otherworldliness appropriate to a sea-dweller, and of course you soon end up with nothing but a copy of Marvel Comics' Namor.

correct me if i'm wrong here, but Barbara dies in NoTLD
question, whats with the Dogma avatars?
I'm just saying if I created a comic character or a character from a novel and someone wanted to change my idea, I'd have a problem with it. Like Amy Adams playing Lois Lane in "Superman." I like her as an actress, but didn't like the casting. Why not dye her hair then? Lois is always remembered as the cute brunette with long flowing black hair. Sorry, but I hate when these writers want their own brand on things when changing the original. Don't get me started at the rumors of a black Captain America .
