That is unreal that a comment like that went unnoticed for so long.

Quentin Tarantino Apologizes to Roman Polanski Victim Samantha Geimer For Howard Stern Comments [EXCLUSIVE]
All of his apologies come along with some egotistic, needless BS like saying he was playing Devil's advocate etc. Just say you were wrong and apologize and mean it, that's all.
I don't like his retro active admissions of guilt. Only reason he's saying it is because his name is tethered to the maelstrom currently engulfing Hollywood and his damaging words are being unearthed.
He should have at least stopped halfway through that apology, I agree.
Hey folks, the 9th installment of Tarantino films is set to go and even has a release date!!!!!

The Houston Astros cheated Major League Baseball from 2017-18!!!! Is that how we teach our kids to play the game now?????
Watching those two playing off each other should be QT-fueled gold.
It would be pretty great if he got Margot Robbie to play Tate. But here's the question....who plays Polanski? I say this...Quentin...get Paul Dano on that.

From Harley Quinn to Tonya Harding, Margot Robbie has made some incredible transformations for her roles in recent years, and her newest look is no exception. On August 7th, Robbie shared a photo of herself as Sharon Tate, whom she’ll play in Quentin Tarantino’s forthcoming film Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, and we’re blown away.
In the film, Robbie stars as the 1960s actress and model, who was married to director Roman Polanski and was tragically killed in her home in 1969 by the Manson family.
According to Deadline, the film is said to be set in 1969 at the “height of hippy Hollwood.” Robbie’s character is a “central role” in the film, which also stars Brad Pitt and Robbie’s Wolf of Wall Street co-star Leonardo DiCaprio. If that weren’t exciting enough, the cast also includes Burt Reynolds, Timothy Olyphant, Kurt Russell, Al Pacino, and many more.
When her casting was officially announced earlier this year, Robbie told IndieWire,
“I feel a responsibility with every character I play, whether they’re fictional or real life, to play her right, play her truthfully, and kind of understand her emotional journey.”
Judging by her past roles (she did get a Best Actress nom at this year’s Academy Awards, after all), we have no doubt she’s going to nail her role as Tate. But for now, it’s safe to say she definitely has at least Tate’s look down pat. In fact, fans online were freaking out over the fact that Robbie looked pretty much exactly like the ’60s cover girl.

Unrelated to this movie I have been listening to the You Must Remember This podcast's series on Charles Manson. This is probably the best deep-dive into the whole story I've ever encountered. The storytelling is so engaging and vivid, I just love Karina's voice. If you think you know the whole story of the Manson Family, check this out, you might be surprised.

For those that don't do podcasts (what's wrong with you?) here's the first episode on YouTube:
One of the best cultural examinations of the late Charles Manson in recent memory just became its own series.
In 2015, the podcast You Must Remember This, which explores “the secret and/or forgotten histories of Hollywood’s first century,” dedicated an entire season to Manson, who died on Sunday. If that pairing of concept and subject seems surprising, it’s because Manson’s personal connections to Hollywood, its influence on him, and his manipulation of its culture have been largely written out of his legacy as a fringe megalomaniacal cult leader.
In fact, for a heady time between 1968 and 1969, Manson was something of a Hollywood insider, primed to coast his way to music industry success. The podcast series, written and hosted by Karina Longworth, delved into sides of Manson that rarely get discussed today: his early life, his dreams of Hollywood stardom, his ability to manipulate his way into favor with Hollywood’s elite — usually offering the bodies of his female followers in exchange for the notice.
Now, in the wake of Manson’s death, the Panoply podcast network has released the Manson season of You Must Remember This as its own podcast: You Must Remember Manson.
The 12-episode series revisits the making of Manson and homes in on the turbulent two years leading up to the infamous, brutal murder of seven people, including actress Sharon Tate, by members of the Manson Family. The series also explores the lives of the many Hollywood players who were directly or indirectly linked to the Manson Family, from Doris Day, whose son became Manson’s best path to success, to cult filmmaker Kenneth Anger, who collaborated with Manson Family member Bobby Beausoleil for his outsider short film “Lucifer Rising.”
If you’ve never taken the time to think about how society grooms cult leaders like Manson, or if you just like fascinating stories of Hollywood’s dark underbelly, You Must Remember Manson is a can’t-miss series.
I love You Must Remeber This. I started from the beginning though, so haven't listened to the Manson episodes yet.
Only the gentle are ever really strong.
